Iker Casillas trains and faces each match with maximum intensity and concentration, with the aim of winning and continuing to grow with Real Madrid and the Spanish national team. But the Real Madrid goalkeeper, who has always showed his solidarity, today wanted to go beyond sports. The Captain sent a message of support to the family of Dawid Zapisek, who died last Tuesday from a serious degenerative disease. Casillas met him during the last European Football Championship in Poland and Ukraine as he was a massive fan of the goalkeeper. Apart from the message, which will be broadcast by Polish national TV, the Real Madrid player signed the shirt with the words "Dawid, always with you" in Polish, about which he said: "I dedicate this to you with so much love, for them to keep it and always have you in their memory".

The initiative by the Real Madrid captain, who had the support of Ryszard Schnepf, head of the Polish Embassy in Spain, was done this Tuesday at the Real Madrid Football City. "Firstly, I would like to reiterate my condolences for the family. May Dawid rest in peace. I had the opportunity to be with the family in the last European Football Championship in Poland and the Ukraine. I was there at the same time as him in Gniewino for two days and he was a person raring to live life to the full, so happy to meet the Spanish national team. He had his photo taken with all the players, and his parents, family and friends were happy with all of us", admitted Casillas.

Casillas showed his condolences for the family through social networks in a gesture which moved the Poles.
"We are aware of the fact that we are somewhere where a lot of people see us. A lot of people admire us and I believe that we have a great responsibility. Obviously, not everyone will like you, but for those who do, who feel admiration and esteem for you, what better way to give something back to them than by showing such affection and consideration. This case was a sensitive situation, his dream was to meet me, as well as the Spanish national team. I think that the weather was the least important thing", said the goalkeeper.

Dorota Zlinets, who works at the Polish Embassy in Madrid, was in charge of interviewing Iker, who explained to her how he became aware of Dawid's story. "His mum went to our federation delegate. The story caught by attention. He was a boy who wanted to meet us and meet me. He gave me a small present, a teddy bear. Then we spent a few days together when he would came to be close to us. He was very happy, as were we. Just being with him made him so happy. Imagine what that meant for us".

To finish, Casillas wanted to play down the importance of the gesture which the Real Madrid captain was delighted to do and which he would not think twice about doing again. "I think that we are very lucky to be football players and to be admired in so many places around the world. And if, at a given time, you can help a kid to make their dream of seeing you come true, and to be happy, I think it's an privilege we have been given and we are always going to do it", he concluded.

Kolarov's free kicks are very sneaky, it's not the first time he does something like that. As a goalkeeper you can't expect something like that.

I'm really getting more worried about their working relationship. First he doesn't celebrate his goal in a big match.. Now this..

Casillas becomes the youngest to reach 300 league wins.
Against Deportivo la Coruña, Iker Casillas reached 300 league victories and has become the youngest player to reach this figure in the national competition. The Whites’ goalkeeper has won 300 matches at the age of 31 years, 4 months and 10 days, surpassing the former Real Madrid player Raúl, who did the same at the age of 31 years, 9 months and 16 days. Players who had previously already achieved the feat are Manolo Sanchís at the age of 34 years and 7 days and Zubizarreta at the age of 34 years, 5 months and 27 days. Also, this record makes him the third player in Real Madrid history to reach a triple-century of victories. Ahead of the Whites’ goalkeeper there are two Real Madrid legends, those mentioned above, Raúl and Sanchís with 327 wins and 312 wins respectively.

Iker Casillas got his first win at the Bernabéu against Espanyol at the age of 18 in the 16th match of the season, in a match that the Whites won 2-1. 14 seasons and 299 victories later Iker Casillas makes league history by becoming the youngest player to reach 300 wins in the national competition.

Casillas’ league record is spectacular and he is poised to break all records. Iker has played 463 games in which, except for one, he has started in them all, making him the player with the third most appearances for Real Madrid and the player with the most full matches played (458). The Whites’ captain’s record in those 463 matches is 300 wins, 81 draws and 82 defeats. His saves have been key to five Real Madrid league titles (2012, 2008, 2007, 2003 and 2001).

Casillas is also the league’s currently active player with the most victories ahead of Barca’s Xavi (256), Puyol (235) and Valdés (229), which makes him a living legend of our sport and he still has many years ahead to keep enjoying being part of Real Madrid.

He gave up a saveable goal last week though, it's clear he needs competition...sign Lloris and Neur and Hart and some random Argentian scrubs who were hyped up recently..

His shittest season since I can remember so far. A fucking towel would do a better job than him. No joke. Pathetic shot to goal conceded ratio. And that's after a Clasico game too where he usually shines. I have no idea wtf is happening to him. Did he get Carbonero pregnant or something?
