As good as he is, which is really good, he isn't joining us to build our midfield around him. Heck he isn't even sure starter if we buy a CDM like Brozovic (even if he gets starter minutes).
This gives leeway for us, it allows him to be a big part of the rotation, bring in experience and allow Pedri to rest more.
That is also ideal for him at his age, at 33-35 he doesn't need to play every minute or every game.
Overall it is a good deal as long as he doesn't return to his old injured self.

Nonsense.. Pedri had 8 'goal contributions' all season from AM more or less... same amount as back up left back Alba.
De Jong, Ferran and Kessie all had 6..from deeper positions or less minutes.
Trying to make out 'only Pedri and Raphinha' contributed is nonsense and Dembele had 12 also.

Being beaten in other competitions is not some positive and those games count.
7 goals assists for a AM is poor return and only league and not doing it in other competitions matters.
3/4 'crucial' goals in league is being spun to be a lot more impactful than reality when given one of most advanced roles in team to get goals/assists.
He like FDJ could have had a lot more assists to be fair if others could finish better.

Be excited bro, we just got TOP 3 midfielder in the world right now, he comes from a team that just won a treble.. No offence but I don't get why are some of you soo obssessed with age? We got world class midfielder for free.. If he's shit we can get rid of him next season.. We can only gain from this signing, nothing to lose really..

Gundogan is a good signing the risk is a steep decline or injuries at his age.
Just need to sign the DM now for the team that the usual brains trust told us all that club had in hand and was no issue not signing Busi replacement when could spend a year ago.
