İlkay Gündoğan

A lot of City’s success was also down to Gundogan to be fair.

He scored some vital goals for them in the run in.
His contribution was clear, just a different gravy when having the best team around you and the best manager. He never was top dog in midfield for City or Germany NT

you act as if he failed to deliver here. Think andresito showed the impressive number of assists.

He wasn't bad, just not much of a real impact when it mattered. And when you factor in the price we payed and the trophies we didn't win...

The reason they have the best team is they don't tolerate passengers and they ensure that every player that starts for them contributes.

Anyone who plays an important role for them is a very good player. They have, like you say, the most money and the best manager, so there is no reason they would start subpar players or passengers.

Gundogan was coming off a fantastic season in a treble winning side. To act like he was some washed up player is remarkably dishonest.

He is old and declining, sure, that doesn't mean washed up or looking for a retirement home.

But he is washed up and looking for a retirement home. Already retired from international football.

The fact that we couldn't get 10-15 millions from city for him tells you everything you need to know about our board.

Gundo was easily top 3-5 players for city when they won the treble, And was our best player last season.

He's been putting in Top class performances for YEARS, fundamental to City'a success

Which is why they welcome him back with open arms at 33-34, will probably start majority of their big games next season.

Their medium term injuries probably open their eyes too.

Gundy can do a job and Pep will manage his legs unlike Herb.

I also think this has something to do with his coaching future, there were rumors about it. Wouldn't surprise me he retires and takes over City after this season or at least become an asistant to the new coach. Pep has said many times that he sees Gundo as a future coach, maybe he's the one. I'm sure Txiki&co have a plan for their next coach, some people know their job.

He is on 18mil, I am happy he is gonne.

One players less to worry.

We will not win nothing important this year, so we should just profile players and improve young players.

City wants another sixtuble so he is important for them.

Lenglet, Lewa, De Jong, Fati, Inigo and Ferret to go.

And we will be free from past.
