I have only seen a few Dortmund games since his return from the back injury, and from my limited perspective he has shown some absolutely sublime moments. He was out for so long that it's only fair to allow him a good chunk of time to regain his pre-injury form. The positive thing is that he has, to me, shown performances that resembled his very best, so that old level is still in him for the most part. It's a question of performing consistently again, which I think has more to do with getting back routine and playing enough games. I think if he can finish this season strong, then next season could be a great one for him.
He would be a great addition to the team in my opinion, and I really hope we approach Dortmund about signing him this summer. One of the few absolute world class midfielders that can be had for a reasonable amount of money, and he'd slot right in I think.
If we could start with this lineup in January 2016 it would be fantastic!
