Well tbh we did brilliantly in attack even without midfield control, like that time under Tata when we lost possesion to Rayo even with Xavi in midfield. I don't think our task today was really to control the midfield, but to counter-attack and beat the outside trap (Suarez had 6 offsides). But yeah I agree Rakitic is not form right now.
