This season the rumors came out something like "Rakitic threatening to leave Barca if EV doesn't play every game", it seemed like stupid rumors which became more and more believable with every game because Rakitic 90min'd all of them, then he comes out with the "I deserve a new contract" while he isn't even playing at barca level, saved by Messi every game, then that Liverpool disgrace, in my eyes he really rolled his reputation into the mud so hard this season. Hoping United saves us this summer, but he has Arda level respect for this club, if not Sevilla he won't go anywhere, would rot on the reserves under Tuschel and collect wages.

There was an article not too long ago saying the club wants to sell him but they are hoping that in time that he will reconsider his decision and leave.
