Can't compare Madrid and Barca. Madrid have stripped La Liga teams off their talents and a year later are making big money transfers in the same positions again. What happened to the "new Spanish core" and "goalscoring Iniesta" Isco? Replaced already by a player who had a handful of good games in the World Cup. Blatant marketing moves. See the pattern? Bought 2 midfielders from the U21 EC winners just to replace them by a midfielder from the WC winners and the supposed MVP of the WC. You think Ancelotti is asking for those moves? lol Barca did spend big on Suarez but there wasn't a single striker in the squad. Didn't buy a new shiny toy in an already well equipped position. A striker was desperately needed, especially with Messi's development towards a #10. Despite Suarez though there is still emphasis on homegrown talent with a former youth coach calling the shots. Rafinha, Bartra and Deulofeu can all make it in the next 1 or 2 years. If Montoya doesn't make it it's his own fault, he ought to outperform aging Alves at some point. There are 3 or 4 new youth players who have good chances to break through soon and I'm not counting Roberto and Masip in that who both might surprise us. There is still a lot of sense in Barca's squad management. How Madrid are supposed to accommodate Modric-Kroos-James in the same lineup no one knows.
+1 Makes me laugh how people go on about Madrid's great business compared to Barca.. It happens to be better than ours in recent years because 7/8 of our first team players have come through La Masia instead of just spending millions on players who are already in form. LOL
