As said.. they wont give much details and appeal to socios as this being only way to keep club in their control is to vote through this deal.

Could see it coming a mile off.

Worst part is probably sign this deal off once voted through and then in few years realise investment is the way to go and have these large tv deals in place regardless.. which also may deter investment.

Be interesting to see what deals Barca have in background if socios allow them to sell up to 25% of tv rights.

Wonder if the whole discussions with Tebas on 540m CVC/la liga deal was all a ruse to get him to commit to a higher salary cap % than was offered last year.

Once they have that they then back out the deal but use that % to apply to the other better offers they received and use that reasoning while campaigning to La Liga to approve the deal and salary %.

Would have played Tebas at his own games and got one up on him if that is the case.

The Barca VP is in press today saying the 540m deal would put club in worse place than where were before it was signed which would seem strange if only just realised that.

It was the easiest because it allowed us to overcome the negative capital, given between the two offers from CVC and LaLiga Impulso we had negotiated for €540m. The two offers were linked. If we had done it, in one year we would have done what we plan to do in five. We would have taken it to the members and it would have passed. But it would have left the club worse than when we came in. Why should we pay debt off at more than 10% when we have achieved another [offer] with interest less than 2%?

Yes. For us, despite all the pressure we have received and the Fair Play issue we always have to keep in mind, it's a bad deal. From a financial point of view it's settled and I think the president has been very clear.

Impossible to tell unless know ins and outs of the deals they are looking at.

Also there is a good chance they use what they can to clear off deferred payments due in part.

On previous CVC deal I believe it was 15% they could use for salary cap regardless if still under restrictions so for 500m say that would allow them to spend 100m if they can increase that to 20%.

If it clears the salary cap it also allows them to sell players and have full profit to spend. For example if sold FDJ for 70m and that results in 35m profit they have all that this window and not around the 1/3 or so would have under current rules.

So basically.. fuck knows as no one knows the ins and outs of deals being offered, what % would allow for salary cap, if it would clear the salary cap and what they would use to pay down deferred salaries etc.

Depends. If Dest is injured, as he often is, he'll probably play RB because we have no one else . Alves should not be extended as he is basically a ghost in defense (when he doesn't make errors that is, in those case his presence is very much felt).

One of his playing positions is one that is badly covered in our squad, fullback.
