The way the club conducts itself is atrocious. I don't blame people for not liking us. Getting the press to do it's dirty work is not how a big club should operate. Our signings so far have been ok. I agree with the Christensen and Kessie signings. Raphinia was too much money ditto Lewa and Kounde if the sign. Signing Azpi and Alonso for anything over 10 million would be beyond pathet6.

The anti Barca feeling etc online is higher than can remember it.

Have noticed as well outwith that.

The way they have handled situations in past year is a joke. From Koeman to Messi, Dembele and now FDJ. Keep lying through media and trying to force/bully folk into acting a certain way.

All smiles and fake involvement when players are winning for them then treat them like skivvies as soon as want to get own way.

Be ruthless by all means but be honest with the players and dont use media to try and pressure them.

Stop this fake shit and speaking too much and handle it professionally.

Hope FDJ takes them for every penny he can now.

It's good. Team needs to be more ruthless. If only they axted the same towards the senior players

Anti Barcelona? Where.

Think a few internal peoples hate us now, wait until we start winning again.

Their will always be anti's nothing anyone can do about it, but some overblow that situation of situation.

Still the 2nd post popular team on the planet & arguably the most beloved.

How does Bayern feel about Lewandowski now? And he gave them everything and a year before the end of the contract he asks not just to leave, but to leave for money. Business.

But Im not on about means to buy, I’d kinda expect this to be better with full year of no restrictions behind us.
On about squad wage itself (which I know is related to income but not clear by how much that was raised)

To make last year wage cap they had to, in order, let Messi go AND make Pique defer wage AND send Griezmann out just to register Depay and Aguero. That’s some 60M net + let’s say 6M from Pique freed.
If assume enough room been freed up, then had to also mess with Umtiti contract (say 8 annual changed to 2) to register Ferran and Auba in winter (both on some measly 4 or 6 annual I imagine).
Now all that has changed is Griez still not here, Coutinho, Lenglet and Trincao wage gone. LDJ and Alves non factors. Dembele also practically a new player even if contract slashed in half, and Roberto.

How can team afford two more contracts of 7-9M net each when have deferred so much when already bringing in 4 or 5 new contracts?

Just about anywhere can see comments from other fans and a lot of Barca fans also.

Club being slaughtered for way handling this and have handled many of players issues in past year.

Quite rightly.

The are taking in 500+ million now to pay it back across the next 25 years and that income allows them to sign players and got back to 1:1 salary cap rules.

Taking a risk on instant success now to pay in future.

So taking on more debt just to hope they make back enough lol
And by investing in attackers only?
Is Laporta high?

Wont be classed a debt but yes effectively gambling that best decision is to take the 500m+ now and pay it back across next 25 years for about equivilant of 1 billion if current tv contract is a guide.

Effectively going to have a Coutinho sized transfer on the books for next 25 years now...

Sure but it's not entirely convincing the 500 is lumped in appropriately to raise the cap?

The 500 will count as capital because the CVC does. Both are equity sales of TV rights in exchange for a profit share. And not loans against the value of the rights. Well the xvx has to be paid back but that's another story actually.

Laporta strategy this summer doesn't seem far from Bartomeu though. It is still kicking the buck further down the road, and working on our financial limits to have a winning team today without overthinking down the line.

If the TV rights sale was still a necessity to get under the modest cap for this season, then there still needed to be an element of prudence such as not re-signing Dembele (whose wages somehow do not seem as low as first seemed), Roberto and forcing out Pjanic (high wage) along with accepting a transfer for Frenkie (but not forcing him out through the media). This all along with the trash (with respect).

Transfers in wise a bit more strategic with a smaller budget than the 200m estimated.

Maybe it wins the league next season though if everyone arrives and Xavi gets them all functioning as a team, and gives is a good run in the CL (which won't increase sponsors as Spotify is signed already but may help merch) but then the question is, are we back to the same salary cap limitation in a season time without the ability of a TV rights bail out?

There is also going to be a matchday income drop with the move to the mountain which I am sure is calculated.

I think the biggest difference between our sales of the 25% TV right and the CVC deal is that we don't need to repay the money received while in CVC's case, clubs do, so at least theoretically CVC money should be counted as debt, albeit really long-term, in my opinion.

Not sure about how exactly the sales of assets impacts our ability to sign and the salary cap, whether it is 1:1 yet but yes, like many people have said, Laporta essentially is just kicking the can down the road and is only worried about the present. In a way it is understandable they want to placate the fans and the sponsors and muster a team that is capable of winning trophies in order to keep our revenue come in at the pace seen previously, but decisions like signing Lewandowski, Azpi and Alonso while pushing out Frenkie is absolutely abhorrent.

As you mentioned, our revenue will drop for sure in the next couple of years from match-day alone. Let's hope the other two, commercial and TV (already handicapped) and prize money won't reduce that much.
