I think we're heading towards a mixed ownership model where a 49% stake is going to be sold to outside investors. The club have been asking socis about this last few months in various surveys too.
These visits of his to Saudi and Qatar are not to hunt for sponsorship deals that's for sure. It's to prepare for what the future likely holds.
I guess he'll drop the news in 2024 or 2025 and cite the high costs of redeveloping the stadium and how the club will cease to be an elite club if stake not sold.

It is sponsorship deals, people are just making some fan fiction theories.
Also, if Laporta sell part of the club, American banks will be his first go, not middle east.

American banks or investment funds won't be the first choice as they're looking to make profits while Laporta would be looking to sell to someone that is more interested in investing into the club. Hypothetically ofc.
Why would a Qatari or Saudi business or investment fund offer a sponsorship contract way above market value without them potentially gaining from it further down the road?

It just makes zero sense. I have seen reports saying other sections refer to the women's football and grassroot football. Again, what the fuck does La Liga have anything to do with however much we want to spend in the women's section as they are not the governing body of women's football? Is the U-level football regulated by La Liga?

About Salary cap? plenty did actually.
About other sections? Well, not even RM has as many teams as Barca.

I'd say we keep them all, they are part of the club's tradition to be a multi-sports club, the most successful club in Europe in terms trophies won across different sports. Most of the sections, basketball apart do not cost that much anyways. The biggest savings come from and should come from the men's football section.
