All the fluffy talk that 'he saved the club' only for so many wrong decisions/handlings

- Xavi is still raw and learning the craft. Yet Laporta put all his eggs on Xavi's basket
- We are still not employing a modern structure at the SD department where analytics and financial analysis determine the targets instead of the opinion of the coach
-We are still giving borderline expensive contracts to any incomings (look at how much Kessie RAphina etc are getting)

and now this debacle with Dembele

I have no words

Being better than Bartomeu, a guy who bakrupted and failed the club, shouldn't be any badge of honour

Laporta is a failure up to today, and he has only 2 years ahead to turn the tide

Laporta still thinks players will join Barca because of the brand. Some will, no doubt but the majority will chase the big bucks. That is EPL and probably Saudi. Sadly, it looks like most of the historic European clubs are just going to make up the numbers.

Laporta seems like one of those older man that's living in the past. He probably still thinks this is the Barca of old. Hasn't woken up yet to 2023 where money talks and players don't give a shit about club history or brand.

Barça will go ahead with the €65M investment. The club denies Esport3 reports that it had fallen through and says that it will be done. [Cadena COPE]

I don't get this logic.
Laporta didn't succeed in his first tenure because of club history or brand, but by hiring the right guys.
His second tenure so far is a success, with the exception of European results in Basketball and Football sections.
He knows money talks, and he is managing the club as such.
If he didn't know that, a guy like Dembele would have never been renewed for example.

He is like the club-behind the times. Sport is not sport anymore. It's more of a business.
