Regarding the whole "kicking the can down the roaad".
This summer we have promoted Fermin, Lamine, Cubarsi, Pau Victor (as signing), Casado. From all reports they seems fully registered.

The full contracts of Gavi, Araujo, Balde and Inigo were registered. Before that it was a year by year work.

Those are 9 players registered, under Alemany we would have been fighting with Liga for registration of Gavi another year, keeping the B team players there.

In addition, it was confirmed that the Libro money was covered last year. And the Aramark (or whatever the name is) deal is for coverage of remaining 60M payments of Barca studios.

The fact that it is related to Olmo registration indicates we want to register him as under the cap deal. ( aka 1:1).

All indicates that the work done is all for facing the problems now, rather than borrowing more from the future as it is used to be.

If we succeed to register Olmo, manage the year without financial loss and had a decent season sporting wise. It will be success all things considered.

I'm wondering what are the consequences from all the levers that we pulled, how much revenue do we lose every year by selling some % from our assets.

Considering that almost every club out there has pulled many levers, I won't worry that much.
Clubs has been stretching their spending beyond their capabilities in order to increase value and revenue, selling assets to normalise that is sort of a normal practice.
The RV righrs is the one that will bite us the most, but most of Liga has signed CVC.

This is an inevitable downside of a fan owned club that elects presidents, however it is still by far the best available system.
The fact that the past 3 years are arguably our worst in this century, shows how lucky we are.

Not really.. for 95% of the last century the fan model may have been the leading way to go but that doesnt mean it remains the best approach for eternity.

Football has changed.. Barca need to move forward for where there are now not what was best in the past.

It is moving away from fan owned.. Laporta knows it.. he just wants to kick the can of financial issues as far onto the next boards as he can and then sit proudly saying he 'kept club fan owned'.

If he runs again there is a good chance he will try to use that as his man argument with socios and again go with emotional arguments with zero planning..The socios lap it up and the circle of Barcas weakness as a socio owned club continues.

Wouldnt be surprised if it is Real Madrid putting up banners of him this time round campaigning for his election.

We can play in Secunda, Jam, still will be more interesting than having a master like the English peasants. Choose a fCo and spare us the dirty details of being a plastic fan.
FC Barcelona would have dominated football without illegal money being washed, wouldn't have been bankrupted if we had genuine fans, not plastics.
The whole forum meat rides Nico as they meat rided Dumbele, Coutinho Griz, Ferran or Lewandowski.
I get people meat riding Cr7 or Messi but never understood the low IQs ridding average.
Our presidents are forced to spill money because of the fans being morrons and plastics.
Not being a beggar is better regardless

No idea what any of that is trying to say.. but Barca selling part of club will happen and recent decisions make if more likely.

We can still maintain control, there are plenty of large investors who would be interested in a minority stake.

You can't sell part of anything , you need to change the legal structure and you need the members to agree. Anyway, I will be a fan of Pamplona once that happens

Barcelona sell a % will only mean that some Catalan crony will get in like Bartomeu, and be impossible to remove.

If you think we will sell part of the club to a oil state looking to invest in the club to promote their land- think again.

Indeed I am aware the legal structure would need to change and that socios would have to approve...it will happen in time.

Overspending as I pointed above is done to make the fans happy in a market full of inflation due to money laundering. You stop the fans being plastic morrons, the president will have no incentive to broke the bank.

And the German model is top down imposed over the whole league. That would be a good model considering Madrid ruined most of the traditional clubs with that law in the 90's, but it's another discussion. Barcelona doesn't need that model, it needs a constitution and some rules for trasfers.

If you apply the German model to Barcelona you get deposits type of investments, then you get those third world oligarchs in your board making sure Barcelona is playing safe at every stage and it's paying the debts first to secure their investment. I would rather watch Secunda than seeing Bedouins fucking every last bit of European culture.

City is perfect for the fans that want to sell. It's a copy of Barcelona with unlimited money. Why Barcelona should change for the plastics from abroad!? Most of them are from nations that failed to develop anything of value so what are the chances they understand how valuable is Barcelona as a Club? Football companies are everywhere, PSG, another copy even has similar colors.

Majority of other clubs are run professionally.. Barca are not.

The professionalism would go through roof as would stability and long term planning if there was outside investment.

It will come once the socios realise there needs to be a balance.. if not then socios can keep voting in those who run the 'best' political campaign and take decisions for the short term and their own gains.

You see, the majority are not clubs. Companies are run at a profit unless they name a corrupt administration.
We are run to maximize football, at the moment at a loss. Why is that is debatable, I blame the fans mostly because every transfer that crippled our economy was requested. Also the market is not friendly with clubs due to UEFA and FIFA and real having that much success and influence got our fans greedy and unhinged.
