You don't get it, do you?
If Arsenal and Liverpool are lower in status than us, then it's our advantage, not disadvantage, in wage negotiations.
I have always said that Barcelona and Madrid are the most prestigious clubs worldwide for any footballer.
Pick any and his dream is to play for one of the two, if not either.
Add to that the advantage of living in the city of Barcelona
That means you don't overpay to get players, as the clown that runs the club did with Kounde Raphina Lewa Gundo etc.,
Liverpool Arsenal and others HAVE to overpay to compete with us
I agree that Barca are higher status than us but we're just as big a club overall. Current status depends a lot on success in the last 20 years and Barca have had immense success in that period in a style that mesmerized the football world. On top of that, it's a fantastic city to live in for all players and you're guaranteed CL even when the club is in turmoil. You don't get it, do you?

The issue is that the wage structure gets broken so badly by certain stars that it fucks up the entire wage bill and undeserving players get huge salaries. Domino effect. No, it's not. Part of that status is paying top salaries. It's a sign of success. I'm not saying it is good, be careful here, but it is not illogical at all for the most exclusive clubs to pay the most money. You know the meaning of the phrase "if you have to ask, you can't afford it"? It stems from the same connections.
The issue of the club is not spending top money, that's part of the club's status, it's in the decision making in regards to the players that deserve it vs the players that don't. This decision-making has been horrific, especially under Bartomeu.
'Thing are happening' as Gerard Romero would say
I don't like they are all joint in the movement, but it's a start

This is Bartomeu that we are talking about. You don't even need to bring up Messi's contract. You just need to ask him nicely for a wage increase and he'll give it to you like cotton candy. When Messi gets paid a ridiculous amount, like it or not, his teammates' agents use it in their contract negotiations.
Calling Xavi a failure is just Font being bitter Xavi betrayed him tbh
There you have the answer for all the provocators that keep mentioning Xavi together with Font.
Xavi is a thing of the past for Font, and you can see that he considers Flick a successful appointment

Well Xavi was looking out for himself and wanted the Barca job, it was clear Laporta was gonna win so only made sense to align himself with LaportaThe guy backstabbed him a few weeks before the elections.
