Joan Laporta

Well Xavi was looking out for himself and wanted the Barca job, it was clear Laporta was gonna win so only made sense to align himself with Laporta

No if you have any integrity and principles, that Xavi evidently doesn't in his miserable little life

When you supposedly are no2 in this project, and has devised the structure together with Font, you don't betray him the last moment to look out for yourself

Because he knew font was desperate to run Barcelona, you never give a man like that what he wants.

You show little class, and you should respect legends like Xavi. This is lame from a self-confessed Barca fan. It's rubbish for this attitude to last months after the guy is not even here anymore.

I respect and always respected Xavi the footballer.

Xavi the coach, and Xavi the person, are completely different things.

You have trouble making elementary distinctions

You should respect the manager too and the person. He got us titles as a manager also. True legend. Also left as one as a player instead of moaning and milking the club of money.

No, I will never respect a manager that got us LL by lucky 1-0s with terrible football.
By the same logic, you should respect Valverde (who BTW was and is head and shoulders above Xavi tactically) for his tenure here. but you don't

As a person, I held him highly back in 2015 or so. But I changed my views after seeing him backstab Font, and after seeing his antics on the bench and gaslight in the pressers.
He is too full of himself, too much inflated ego, super entitled and spoiled, and lacks basic human integrity (Font casE)

The two groups that called for Laporta's resignation, Font and Camprubi, should move with the motion of no confidence. Meaning gathering signatures of 15% of club members. Laporta will not resign. He's thick-skinned to do that.

Maybe there's something I don't know. Elaborate on the "backstabbing", please.

People from Font's camp jumped sides the moment Laporta announced he was running because they knew to pick a winner
If anything the people he wanted in his project apart from a few like Toni Nadal just jumped on the bandwagon. They're the ones that backstabbed him.

Imagine being the leader that cannot even retain the team he wanted to build his Presidency around. Then he spent most of his campaign yapping about Xavi and his electronic voting reform.

I doubt Laporta resigns.

Remember that he didn't even resign when he narrowly escaped the motion of no-confidence in 2008 and half his board left him.
You need 2/3 majority to kick him out when it goes to a vote and back then he barely made it. Most people would have resigned since the majority of the socis wanted him out and the entire world were telling him to walk away, but he's a stubborn man and luckily didn't back then.
