Multinational corporations are not dumb. They are perfectly aware of our finances and lying makes things even worse.
That's not how it works at all. Look at any case of a huge company going bust ( WeWork, MoviePass ) and you will see that multinational corporations invested multi millions along the way, when those companies were already practically bust behind the scenes.
If knowing the truth of a company's financial state was that easy, shock earnings announcements wouldn't occur. On Thursday, Intel announced shockingly bad earnings results and fell 20 percent. Did any multi nationals know in advance and make big money off that 20 percent fall? No.
The truth is that there are probably 3 or 4 people at a big company that know the true state of its finances. Infact, due to how these institutions are set up where the different departments do not collaborate, you could argue that nobody really knows.
More often than not it takes one employee, who needs to be fairly high up, who isn't willing to turn a blind eye to things and willing to put in out of hours work , and put his own position at risk within the organisation.
If anyone knows the TRUE finances of Barca, it's Laporta, but even he may not know everything, and there still might be a skeleton in the cupboard that is being covered up that could set us closer to bankruptcy again. Who knows? Multi nationals certainly don't, though, like all us, it's pretty obvious you can see Barca have been in better shape financially.
