Great game against Liverpool. ROFLMAO!

This guy is the biggest joke of a defender we have been linked to in quite a while. And to even think about what this massive overrated piece of mediocrity would cost should send shiver down anyone's spine.

At least it was a link that last a couple of month b4 rumours denying it .Chelseas offered something like 50M for him last summer

The worst form of his career, but his CM partners are doing no better under Martinez right now. It would be foolish to think he peaked at 20. I'm still counting on him being a very good defender.

The whole team ( and fans ) lack confidence in general .

Every football pundit who's commented on Stones says he's going to be one of England's BEST EVER DEFENDERS !!

Everton down 3-0 at Sunderland and going by Twitter, Lord Stones is having yet another shocker. Not that anyone should by surprised by that by now, of course...

Yet Laporte is blasted for being Athletic's best defender by far(by his own team's fans admission) and was said to be much inferior to this guy.

That's not to say Stones will not improve and end up as one of the best CBs in the World five years forward. With a better coach, and a lot of learning to do, he might end up there.

I think people just say it for the sake of it now. Hasn't had a shocker, he's just been as mediocre as the rest of the team has.

Martinez has to go. I don't see how he can survive this. They are woeful. If he owners don't get someone new in their best players are all going to want out this summer.

Yeah, yeah, just some random people on Twitter, but it would seem there are a few other people out there who has doubts about Lord Stones becoming the best defender in the history of the beautiful game.

If only someone had said that he would, you might have actually managed to make a cogent point. These Tweets are testament to how fickle football fans are, if anything. You only have to re-read this thread to see that, unless you're suggesting he peaked at 20...

Oh, but we actually have a user on this forum who used those exact words. I think it's only natural to poke a bit of fun at that.

He's been mediocre to terrible whenever I've seen him this season, but let's see him shine at the Euros, if he gets in the team of course. What better venue to showcase your god given talent?
