I don't dispute he seems honest and hard working. But I think he might be out of his depth. As I said, he's been thrown under the bus again.

In what way has he been thrown under the bus?

If thats the case then he should have turned the job down. No one is forcing him to take it.

Former AC Milan drector Ariedo Braida (68) will join Barcelona as part of a 4-men sports commission that will replace Zubizarreta. [md]

The new sports commission, with Arieda Braida as "international sports director", will be in place until the elections in July. [md]

Besides Braida, the 4-men commission will consist of vice president Mestre, board member Bordas and former player and coach Rexach. [md]

Hilarious. I remember saying that if these guys were to somehow sit in power for another full tenure, we'd become the next AC Milan. I see that project is well underway

Good thing they have about zero chance of winning again in the summer. :)

Barcelona will get 140M for next season's tv rights. Mediapro and Telefonica are the contenders. From 2016 on, collective Liga deals. [md]

Is that Spain only? In 2014 our revenue from broadcasting was 182.1m euros, by the way. I'd think 140m only constitute the Spanish portion?

Braida was part of the management team that built the legendary Milan sides of 80s, 90s, and early 2000s.

Braida has only 7 months until re-election, he's probably going to organize the work of the scouts. That's is something we are going to need regardless the election, I think he is good enough for that job. Only.. WHAT IF BARTO GETS RE-ELECTED? I don't want to think about it, but it's possible. He kind of distanced himself from Rosell, he kicked some nasty people out and if Barca wins 3 major trophies at the end of the season, Barto is going to look like a hero and all the previous screw ups he is going to hang on Rosell.

Frankly, if Barca does win 2-3 trophies, he can do little to hamper his chances for winning elections.

He can win 2-3 trophies, but should still be ousted. If he somehow wins in summer then it would be because the other candidates were incompetent since they didn't use all the firepower that exists against Bartomeu.

The interview yesterday, only yesterday did Bartomeu give enough for the other candidates to exploit. You just need to show how incompetent they've been the last years. This board have not only messed up with the football section, but also other institutions of the club. Too much have gone wrong.

Also the socis should think for themselves, atleast the younger generation should be aware of all the problems in Rosell and Bartomeu's tentures.

There is no way that Bartofeo is going to be "reelected" unless the team wins every single trophy this season and most of the socios will be diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.

Having said that then Braida is a very talented man that has proven his worth countless of times. He has also a lot of connections in various football markets.

I don't get the criticism.

If we win any trophies it'll be despite Barto, not thanks to him. Should be having no influence on the voters one way or another.

Just read that this Braida guy is a really good friend with "the rat" a.k.a. Pogba's agent. It's happening guys.

OMG. The new president is likely to have his own candidate for Sporting Director though. Monchi is on Benedito's ticket I think. And Laporta, according to rumors, want his old team back.

I rad a lot of criticism to Braida. He will be here for 6 months. That houlier than hou feeling to bring former players to managing positions just because is nonsense.
What has Bakero proven as a managing director?

And let m remind you that Braida was in office since 86. Do you know the Milan powerhouse from the 80´s , 90´s and 00´s? Or do you only see football since 2008? :p

Braida is one of the most sucessfull managing directors of the last 30 years. Easily.

Which is possible since the older socios are the ones who vote.
