He's a game changer no doubt about that. But I don't think Moyes can get the best of him playing on the flank. I don't see Mata Rooney Van Persie work well together unless Moyes has something in mind to improvise and create something new.

Rooney won't be there in the summer.

If Mata is bought, it's in preperation for WR10's departure. And in the near future they will play VanP, with Juan just behind.

My point is we can postpone spending on new defender and focus on getting world class players for midfield...I'd rather spend 80 million on getting Reus and Koke instead of paying 25-30 million on mangala and getting average midfielders/wingers.......A team with Reus(50 million) on wings and Jones and Evans as defenders will be more scary than team with Mangala and Silva(60 million) at the back and Ashley young in the wings....

Tbf most of your midfield targets, at least Reus and Koke, seem unrealistic though. Reus certainly won't move in the summer. Can't see Koke joining you either. Gündogan might be the most realistic, but you'll have to compete with RM and possibly Barcelona and even Chelsea for him.

Van Persie will be 31 next season so I think Moyes is signing Mata to convince Rooney that we're still top dogs....Mata playing behind Rooney while RVP sits on the bench/Medical room is what Moyes' plan would be............

Chelsea love to create mayhem in the middle. They have wide players in the likes of Hazard, Willian, Schürrle, Mata. But time and time again, they end up picking up the ball on the wings, and cutting inwards, or just playing the ball inwards. They smother opponents in this area.

I think they've had to adjust their game based on the sale of Drogba. When he was there, he was their main outlet... they were capable of playing through the middle, as well as out wide. Since he's left, and they haven't got a star striker, their game has shift from focusing on a target man, to flooding the middle of the pitch

Torres, Willian and Schurrle, Hazard just behind, as well as Ramires making those long stride forwards makes it 5 attacking players at any given time. It's hard to defend against, and causes loads of space to be created. Just watch Chelsea vs United. Meters of space for the Chelsea attack to exploit.

Rooneys had enough... I think he loves Untied, but just wants to try his hand at something else. A new country a new squad, and new thing. 10 years at 1 club is a long time.

If he manages to bend you over and rape you for a new bumper contract, you'll lose that Iron-Tough image you have.

It really isnt! Lampard cant play as a number 10 he never has! Ba is 3rd choice and more often then not wont even make the bench! there is clearly not enough there, plus in the CL Matic cant play so Chelsea will have to have 2 strikers on the bench even though they only use 1!

Number 10's = Willian, Hazard, Oscar, Lampard as a last resort.
Wide = Shurrle, Willian, Hazard
Strikers = Eto'o Torres Ba

With there being more money orientated clubs around now days than ever before, I would have thought every club would like to keep hold of their star players as much as possible. More than ever even.

Is Oscar, Willian, Hazard, Mata, Shurrle, better than Oscar, Willian, Hazard, Rooney, Shurrle? Plus Mata might want the move itself for playing time or WC chances, even if he wants the move out of the PL instead, it looks almost a guarantee now that Rooneys heading down south from Moyes press confrences.

Unsure if United would sell to Chelsea though. United need Rooney more than Rooney needs United.

If it's the summer, then yeah Rooney could demand a move. Theres like a week left in the transfer window.

It'll be a massive gamble on Uniteds behalf. Fighting for their lives to try and get a CL spot - Sell Rooney.
