Falcao, Diego CostaSay names!
I know what you are saying, but to be fair he's not really a goalscorer. He's much different to Haaland. He got his chance in City this season while KdB and/or Haaland were injured and failed miserably. Chris Wood scored 14 goals in Prem while playing 800 minutes less than Alvarez who scored 11. Also outscored by players like Yoanne Wisa, Hwang Hee Chan and Luton’s Carlton Morris. Scoring on every 250 mins. Good stat padding in CL group stage and Copenhagen scoring 5 goals.
Crazy to think there were fans who thought he should be starting for City.
Nico is one of the reasons we don't have money for anything useful. It's the new hype (Coutinho, Dembele, Neymar's return, Griezmann, Ferran, Lewandowski, Raphinha, Roque). He would be perfect if flanked by Yamal and Nico. Shame we don't have the money and we were idiots about him in the past.
As much as I would have loved to see Alvarez here, there's no point in buying him as Lewy will play the majority of the games as a striker. Also Alvarez wants more consistent minutes so he'll probably not come here because of Lewy. Why not go all in for this lad?
Sell Raphinha or not buy Nico + sell Roque. We should be good.
How much can City ask? 80M?

Better to get a LW and DM
Yeah, bench Lewa or rotate them this season I was thinking. But in current context it's not feasible for us anyway. Would like for him to join Atletico, would be a good match I think. As much as I would have loved to see Alvarez here, there's no point in buying him as Lewy will play the majority of the games as a striker. Alvarez is getting a bit overrated tbh, he isn't worth 80M and isn't good enough as starting 9 for a club of our caliber. Atletico is actually his level but that ain't happening either.
Pretty much what was said about Lautaro a few years back. Yes, he isn't a world beater right now. But I got a feeling he'll get his transfer, do good and we'll still be chasing some other bums and end up with a shit attacker.Alvarez is getting a bit overrated tbh, he isn't worth 80M and isn't good enough as starting 9 for a club of our caliber.
