They loaned him out because he was 18 back then and not ready to play in a big team like Atleti just yet.

He might not be good enough to be a starter from the very start but could really develop under Lucho. He might be even better than Koke. He's versatile and great technically. Capable of commanding a game just like Xavi.

Anyway, he is valued at around 10M right now and we may regret not getting him now. Koke's buyout is 60M so it's like 0% possibility of him joining us.

Costa? Diego Costa? £70m? For real? Dude was on a roll as was the rest of Atletico, imo he has no special qualities that makes him standout. Not comparing him to Bale money or some crazy money the oil clubs spend, but imo Costa should cost £30-40m maximun.

Best player in Europe behind Di Maria. He is a perfect player for Mourinho's Chelsea, and I think he is better than Ramires. He is in no way shape or form a player for Barcelona, he suits Atletico Madrid down to the wire. Just because he performed really well in the league doesn't mean he suits Barcelona. Barcelona's set up is frustratingly rigid in accommodating other styles. I hope he stays with Atletico to see him play with Oliver Torres who should be back from Villareal. He is the hard fouling, cool headed, death deliverer.
