Sure, but you’re using an extreme example. The SPL isn’t one of the worlds strongest leagues. But amongst the worlds strongest leagues? How can you reference them against one another without watching, following, etc?

Ok how much do you need to watch of a league to form an opinion that is valid?

I think I watch enough to have a good handle on the quality in general of each without claiming to watch all extensively as that is impossible.

I get that but just wondering at what point can claim to follow a league or not.

Try to follow most of them but it is impossible to have a good handle on them all purely from watching enough.

It’s very easy to determine if someone follows a league or not. For example, did you watch the Lyon vs. Marseille match? If so, who were the best players on the pitch, who dominated the flow of the match, etc?
