It’s very easy to determine if someone follows a league or not. For example, did you watch the Lyon vs. Marseille match? If so, who were the best players on the pitch, who dominated the flow of the match, etc?

Did you follow Chelsea v Soton or Arsenal v Newcastle? If so who were best players on the pitch, who dominated flow of match?

If you are claiming you have to watch every game to that extent then sorry you are not telling truth to claim follow all those leagues as would be impossible.

I don't know who "Soton" is, but I'm familiar with the Arsenal vs. Newcastle match. Ozil was the best player on the pitch, Arsenal dominated the pace of play. They ended the match with more than double Newcastle's shots while dominating possession 70/30. But, even if I weren't aware of these things there's two issues with your analogy:

- I don't spend all my time insulting the EPL, calling it a shit league, etc.

- Even if I don't watch every single Chelsea or Arsenal match, I'm familiar with their clubs. I'm aware of their managers, players, style of play, etc. Whereas, most of the people that go out of their way to constantly insult Ligue 1 haven't the slightest clue what they're talking about.

La Liga
Premier League
-
Serie A
-
-
Bundesliga
Ligue 1

This is the perfect example of the type of person I'm speaking of. Doesn't follow any of these leagues except La Liga and the EPL(if that) but can't help but insult leagues he knows nothing about. I don't see the purpose.

Is it an insult if it's true tho? IMO Ligue 1 is the worst of the big 5 but it's getting a lot better rapidly.

I don't see any argument for the Bundesliga being stronger than Ligue 1 at this point. Serie A is more competitive this season, but there isn't much separating it from France & Germany either. La Liga is separated by Barcelona and Real Madrid, but the mid and bottom table is comparable. The EPL is its own beast, but most of its strength is isolated at the top.

Whatever the case, none of the top 5-6 leagues in Europe are shit. The Brasileirão and Primera División aren't shit either.

Do you watch La Liga? The mid table teams are actually crazy strong. I agree to your point about Bundesliga and Ligue 1 not having too much difference but at least to me, Buli still edges out narrowly.

Yes, and Valencia, Sevilla, and Villareal aren't stronger than Marseille, Nice, & Nantes. If they are, the difference is marginal. I'm not seeing it for the Bundesliga, France has even earned more points in Europe over the last two seasons.

The second best team in France last season got dicked around by the second best team of Germany last season. Dead last in their group and lost 1-4 at home. Remember that?

Valencia, Sevilla and Villarreal are easily better than Marseille, Nice and Nantes.

Ligue 1 is an inferior version of the Bundesliga right now, although getting better.

They are top table teams, mid table teams like Celta, Bilbao, Sociedad & Eibar are far better than their comparions in any league.

I stated that Ligue 1 were catching up rapidly which the last 2 seasons prove but Bundesliga is still the better league overall. Might change in a season or two.

It doesn't matter what PSG are doing. The other French teams need to step up which they simply aren't.

Doesn't help when they cannot keep their players and are plundered by PSG too.
