Well, it's easier to win CL with Real Madrid, in comparison to any other club.
With or without Mbappe, Madrid is already a feared team in Europe, and the most successful and consistent one. And they're not depending on a player or a manager to keep their level at the top.

Curiously, I am yet to see an article in Catalan press to address why is that exactly.

Maybe it's just so plain to see but the topic is avoided like a plague.

We need elite players, as any other club, we depended heavily on Courtois and Benzema for our last UCL win, as an example.

That said, hope Mbappe stays put, positional problems and all that, and besides, its not like he is some sort of key to the UCL anyway.
The one UCL-final they got to, was Neymar leading the line, Mbappe may be great for France, UCL knockouts is more of a mixed bag for PSG.

Mbappe and Vinicius can't coexist at their best.

Both prefer playing LW off a central targetman.

Sell Vini and get Mbappe or let Mbappe be 'the one that got away'.

If Perez signs Mbappe La Liga will unfortunately become a one horse race. The only problem I can see is that either Vini will have to move to RW or Mbappe to No.9. In any case, current Barca won't stand a chance against that attack. Additionally, in CL only City will probably be able to compete against them.

Yes, because Mbappe has won so many CL with PSG :ROFLMAO:
And seriously, Lille was able to win the league against a Mbappe lead team ffs, he is World class player and top 3 but he isn't going to win trophies on his own. Remember how costly he is and how it is going to affect squad building for them too.
We need to worry about building our own team, you do it rightfully and we can compete with anyone. You fill it with the Alonso, Roberto, Romeu of the world while having amateur physios and we don't need a strong Real to lose the league

This lad has been at PSG for 7 years and has done fuck all in CL semis and beyond. In fact, he hand delivered a CL to Bayern with his awful performance in the final.

He's fortunate he's been such a top performer for France in the WCs, otherwise we would be talking about him as an absolute bust.

Mbappe is not going to cripple what Real can spend on their team and they will still be chasing top players in every other position.

Even 100m signing on fee and 40/50m a season they can easily cover and they would sell Vini/Rodrygo etc long before Mbappe puts pressure on them financially.

They have just agreed record sponsorship for sleeve of strip etc and have income from new stadium.

Well he won't be alone.

He'll have the likes of Vini, Ham, Tchou, Cama and the rest.

He wouldn't have to win it alone. No player in history can "win it alone".

You are massively over estimating how much paying for Mbappe will impact Real.

They will still be out in market trying to sign the best player for every position.

He's not a Free Kick taker. How many did R9 score in his career?

haha im not criticising him for not being a good fk taker but im always suprised when a guy who a good long shot technique cant score free kicks, most of his attempts are just bad

I remember when i played football, i didnt score often but when i scored it was a beautiful fk as i used the knuckleball technique! Everybody can bend it like Beckham but only the best can score it like Tsubasa :pique:

Him not delivering in the CL for PSG means nothing when he comes to Madrid.

Don't we see Madrid's record in the CL, how they always find away to find when it seems it's done and over for them, it's a guaranteed minimum 2 CL win, over the next 4 seasons with them, especially since pep won't be at city during that time.

PSG is a loser club, real Madrid ain't that.

Pretty much this. He won't become a legend for them. 2-3 CLs with Mbappe don't mean anything for Real. Him winning at least 1 CL with PSG is something else.

Also, he isn't in the GOAT category and will never reach that. CR isn't considered a legend of Real Madrid by their fans. Statistically he is one, but the love between CR and fans just wasn't there. I wouldn't expect another foreign egomaniac like Mbappe to be seen by Real fans other than a shinny new toy that will get discarded once he stops producing the goods.
