Give the guy a break, how about directing your fustration towards Asensio or Rodrygo, who has done fuck all this season?
Well, 3 of them are either undeveloped or shit. One is injured. They would show more quality if they could I would imagine. But thats a tedious discussion.

Idk, Benzema has consistenly scored around 30 goals every season after Cristiano's depature. It could've easily been more if he took penalties & free-kicks. Benzema was never that prolific with Cristiano around.
If anything, Benzema got rejuvenated after his awful 2017-18 season.

Why would I? Wouldn't need to be in the position of wishing for a lucky shot/cross if he put away what he had in the first half, as well as his teammates. 3-5-2 was the right choice. Switch to 4-3-3 and Benzema all of a sudden a saviour and a different player. Completely transparent scenario building.
It's not tedious, it's the only discussion to be had. Everyone loves the narrative of 'Madrid is shit without Benzema' which is a truism and contributes nothing to the conversation.
We shouldn't need to play the wingers to be scoring. Was plain enough in the first half where our wingers played as LF/RF and did very well. Equally Fede did very well from RCM to create chances. But now all that goes in the bin, because Benzema got to a cross and put one away from out of nowhere. Zero design, utter accident. Only other design is sending Casemiro up into the box. Also 100% predictable as was with Ramos last season.
But yeah keep drinking the Jammy koolaid. Man had nothing to offer on the discussion for ages.

You dont think a worldclass winger would contribute more even in this setup? I would sure as hell not be pleased with Zidanes crossing tactic, but looking at your attack maybe thats the right thing to do (playing to Ramos, Casemiros and Benzemas strength).
To the game: your midfield is still great. Mendy was terrible. Casemiro is throwing himself around like Dani Alves. Insufferable when not in your own team.

The right thing to do is to do what team needs. If you're stuck with wingers who don't perform in 4-3-3 because they're being asked to create goals from a static ball (constantly), you don't play 4-3-3, even if you get a goal from 1 of 50 crosses per game. You do not play what puts Benzema as the only centre forward. 3-5-2 looked very good. And Benzema had a decisive chance which would make it needless to change the formation to the one that bases our game on complete accident.
Midfield was fantastic bar Isco who was poor and slow. Put Modrić in at 10 next game and play exactly the same way. Sod the wingers and do not force them to create from nowhere if they're not doing it for 2 years.
