Your reasoning in this subject is very flawed. Running in the direction of the ball to get it is textbook challenging for the ball.

Nah yours is.

Vasquez has no influence on the play whatsoever at that point.

Could argue if it was a pass from Carvajal that defender deliberately cut out it was offside but not by Vasquez turning back but having no influence on the play. That is a lack of understanding of the rules.

Nah, I'm very sure about this. Everything substantiates it. That's why you see players signaling they refuse the action while offside. Like standing still, or even raising their hands to show they're not interested to compete for the ball. It's a way to gesture a refusal to participate in the action. Precisely to not be called offside.

Which is the opposite of what Vazquez did.

Yea

Like, he didn't lie, he just presented the truth in a more creative way.

He ran in direction of defender as ball bounced off him but had no impact on the play at all.

Simple.

Your lack of understanding of rules is causing your frustration if think that part caused offside.

I know you are but doesnt change fact you dont understand the rule if think he was offside as influenced the defender as 'challenged' him.

OK, mate. Each of us made it crystal clear where they stand in this dillema. I'll leave it at that.

Got to love how serghei always has this much to say about the refereeing. Keeping the conspiratorial part of his brains interested

That makes zero sense.

Whether Vasquez was offside or not has nothing to do with him raising an arm or moving in direction of defender. If there is an argument for him being offside at any point it is when Carvajal touches it. Anything Vasquez does after that is irrelevant as doesnt influence the play at all.

says someone who rates a performance with an assist, no key passes, missing 3 good chances, no goals, 2 successfull dribblings as excellent

Some of this passing from Villarreal players is Segunda level.

La Liga has fallen immensely compared to 3-4 years ago. I think it's not even 2nd right now, I'd might put Bundesliga 2nd. Bayern, Leipzig and Dortmund are better than current Madrid, Barca, and Atletico.

It has. Not even just in comparison to EPL but the mid to Europa level to mid table teams have less talent than in France/Germany and Italy.

There is barely a top player outside the top four teams while in EPL there are class players across those sides.

La Liga is in a steep decline and can see it starting more and more to be case top players no longer see it as the ultimate destination but want to go to EPL above all else for a variety of reasons.
