Its skewed from the risk he takes unlike Werner who "hides" from the ball and still managed to come up with just as shitty stats. From eye test, its quite obvious as to who has the better technique.

Advanced statistics suggest otherwise.

Lautaro's great technique is worth precious little if he doesn't score enough goals.

Apparently it doesn't mean you cannot scrounge of others success in a great club while contributing often not even a base minimum, as evidenced by 'some' cases...

Benzema really broke you ;P

About Lautaros stats: I dont care too much, hes sharing the goalscoring #9 positions with Lukaku, who takes a lot of space. His "average" stats could be down to that or a more severe, underlying issue (aka hes not good enough). Thats where scouting becomes important.

His agent is quite sure of his move to Barca

Sergio Zarate (representative Lautaro Martinez): "Martinez to Barca? There is a big possibility of that happening. He is a great player. Very good. That guy has no ceiling." [fox sports]

Zarate: "He's now at Inter, but surely he will go to spain."

Guess its really happening, his agent also ruled out the possibility of Lautaro signing for Madrid.

Brother of agent but the bottom line remains the same, no question there is mutual interest between club & player - what happens now post-corona is anyone's guess

Lautaro is a quite obvious choice as a Suarez replacement. There simply aren't many strikers out there and he just seems the kind of player Barca would be interested.

But even before Corona the price is the biggest problem. I could see him working out here but 110M is just way too much imo, the club should stop throwing away money like that. Now add the economical effects of corona and the price seems absolutely insane.

For his career he should not sign for Barca.

Suarez and the old crew wont give up their stranglehold on the squad and he will lack minutes and when does play be used to plug gaps outwith his usual role and run for those who wont/cant.

Only way he should even think of moving is if Suarez sold as no chance beating out one of the powerful amigos any time soon.

Suarez is 33, at some point reality has to kick in. And to be fair, until now, Suarez deserved his starting position. He was (and still is) easily our 2nd best forward. And I have no idea why people just assume hes going to be toxic.

Well maybe if Inter will don't want players in exchange Barcelona should try to sign Haaland.

Probably we have good connection with BVB.

Money plus some players for him should be good deal.

No chance Haaland goes to Barca with Suarez at club. Even then he seems to want EPL more.

With a front line containing both Messi and Suarez you have a one dimensional attack that relies on one off moments from those two at expense of team as a unit.

Lack of pace, lack of pressing, lack of anyone to hold up ball and bring game at park.

It is only going to get worse.

What has that to do with anything I wrote.

It is in relation why he should be moved on and why Martinez should not sign for Barca as despite Suarez needing replaced it wont happen.

Will be Suarez next season even older and giving away ball repeatedly, not pressing consistently with team, unable to run with pace in behind defences...but some genius individual moment leading to some good stats in la liga.

Barca need much more than that if aim is to be top side in Europe again.

Personally fucking sick of seeing Barca play games where both Messi and Suarez wander about up park waiting for ball and leaving teams to out work and out number Barca.

Works in a currently fairly poor La Liga most weeks but not at top level.
