This forum is so reactionary.

A couple of good results and good PR by Xavi and Laporta and before you know people are back on the Xavi hype train.

I think every fanbase is like that, i remember when City fans on facebook wanted Pep to be fired after the losses against Lyon and Real :ROFLMAO:

The only flawless managers are Pep and Klopp, and neither is available.

Rest go up and down as their recent results go, with some of them (Ancelotti, Tuchel, Simeone etc.) afforded more leeway because they've proven themselves over a decade plus.
Emery is a brilliant manager and deserves a fair crack at a big job for once.

Even if Xavi wins CL I don't want him here next season. Despite the change in results I don't see him taking us to the next level.
It was all too soon for Xavi and he's been found wanting on many fronts.
I believe he would have been a much better manager if he paid his dues and learned his craft at a smaller European club or even the B team.

If you can guarantee without failure that Klopp takes over in 2025 then I'm all for Xavi staying one more year if that's what it takes.
Just don't let him handpick the players he want to sign if there's money to spend.

Yeah, I'd be down with that.
Klopp is a great manager but would he be a good fit here??? At previous clubs he's been given room to work and hasn't had to face the internal politics and intense media scrutiny that goes with the Barca job. Still want him here cause he's second only to Pep.

I'm not sure he's second to Pep, he's there on par with him, he has better h2h record vs. Pep, by a small margin but still, a great coach who is able to make average players look like great ones. Unlike Pep he doesn't require genius or astronomically expensive players to make a team click.

Imagine a world where Xavi wins the CL, with 2 teenagers in the XI.

So in 2.5 years, he would have

Help us make the CL
Win the league
Win the CL
Develop 3/4 Youth players
Help to develop our 75m Midfielder into a non meme.

All of this while having a net spend of Maybe 150m.

All of this while the club is going through the worse financial crisis any big club has ever gone through, none of which is the fault of anyone currently at the club.

And fans are like, yea he didn't do enough, he's not the one to help us grow into the future? Think about that for a minute, if he did all that under these circumstances.

Talk about a delusional fan base, the Barca forum brain trust and Barcelona fandom at its best.

If Xavi wins the CL, then you can't argue against him staying. League in the first season, CL in second season.

The data is just against his dismissal. Whether you like the football or you don't.

I mean yeah, if he did that he would be in convo for top managers in the world.

How about consecutive CL group exits, el humiliations, classico humiliations, playing shit against the worst teams in the league etc?
Temptation is right. The forum is too reactionary. I've been consistent from the start. I thought Xavi was too inexperienced and didn't have the right mindset for the job.
Say Xavi wins CL and stays. What happens if we start conceding five goals at home again? If we have another wretched streak and have another CL group exit??
