Lionel Messi - v7

Messi at that bullshit plastic club, would be a travesty.

Plastic, glass, metal, whatever they are, if they?re willing to take his wages that would be a huge win for us. At least we can start from scratch next season and build something new. Wherever he goes his legacy here is cemented. Time to move on.

We don't need PSG to take his wages. If we don't want him, don't renew him.

Forget what Messi's wages are here, commercial impact of him does one of three things.

1) Revenue he generates is a lot higher than his wages
2) Revenue he generates is similar to his wages
3) Revenue he generates is a lot less than his wages.

If 1 or 2 (HIGHLY LIKELY) the question is only a sporting one. Not how much he's paid. Let's focus on his performances. Off his performances this year, if it's his last year then it would be a respectable way to end. Not amazing or very good but respectable.

I picture Leo as the kind of sulky self-involved dad figure in the dressing room. Pique with the chirpy mitigating mum role. Without him right now it must be a sombre fucking scene in there. Alba as the annoyingly reverent older brother enforcing dad's rules around the dinner table.

No surprise Levante players reported that Barca players were so weirdly quiet in the tunnel after the game. It seems like a sulken fucking mood in that dressing room and I bet you anything it just so happens to dissappear once Messi is gone.

That is not really the point though the point is another club offering huge wages in order for him to leave forcing the hand of him not renewing at Barca on similar huge wages.

Not so much so Barca can save massive money but it provides and out for him and club... if the argument is a sporting one the club and he need to move on from.

Messi needs, and wanted, to leave for sporting reasons. The team needs to move on and we have been unable to do so, all these years with him being here. When he is gone everyone will share blame and success equally again and that might light a spark in their ass.

Wouldnt quite be so sure he wanted to leave for sporting reasons as much as he couldnt handle his amigos leaving and EV being sacked but either way he doesnt want to be at club and for a player that is capt and whole team is built for it is doing no one any favours.

Although believing Suarez was still top class and most likely supporting idea of another four years could say it was 'sporting reasons' but misguided ones based on where Suarez etc were/are.

I will not speculate on the deeper reasons. He himself said he had discussed it for the whole season with Barto, so I will believe Messi over Barto (who didn't even dispute that) any say of the week.
