Balls in Messi court. Won't hate him for leaving but will question him for staying. I think it is time he moves on inspite of the damages it causes the sporting project short term. what we can get if he leaves is one expensive striker, maybe haaland. other than that we are still facing the same issues.

Seen as city would probably be spending over 100 million on a striker in the summer and Messi is free he is not unaffordable. Also take into account the amount of money commercially he would make for them and the amount of new fans they would gain it would be worth it

He is basically the spine that keeps this shit show going on, we kept buying players to help Messi, to compensate for Messi's lack of defensive effort (work horses), players that Messi likes, coaches that didn't push Messi, give him concrete duties, even defensively etc. ...and the fact that he is the GOAT and single handedly produced game winning performances and trophy winning seasons just papered over some huge cracks, but not anymore.
I will forever cherish every moment of brilliance he put on, all they joy and hope he brought, I will always remember the magic of seeing him play live numerous times, but he has to go, it's best for both sides.

Barca kept buying expensive players who play the same position (Coutinho, Griezmann)
Not saying that barca should have brough Neymar back but the last couple of year barca completely failed in buying players who are really complimentary with Messi.
City is more likely to get him than PSG. PSG can't have Messi, Mbappe and Neymar in their team due to FFP. City's wage budget is actually quite low considering they're one of the top clubs out there.
City would only need to worry about his signing-on fee, which they could easily afford. Also, I doubt City will spend 100m on a striker in any case.

Messi and Suarez were said to have called Griezmann and wanted him at Barca then were miffed when he turned club down. Not quite as clear cut as 'Messi did not want him' when clearly did at one point.
No one is claiming Messi picks every transfer either just that amigos have had too much influence whether it be directly or board making decisions with them in mind.

I'd criticize Messi even more if he didn't have a god-tier season in 2018/19 and played very well vs. Liverpool home & away only for these other donkeys to fuck up big time.

Well,i said he didn't liked Griezzman's u turn in 2018. It may be so, and indeed, it's not ok for players to have so much power, but is not unprecented either. There were other players doing the same or maybe even worse without having even half of the performances of the ''amigos''. But anyway, in think this summer we ll see a massive clearout.

Unfortunately our team I can?t see them bouncing back for at least 3-4 years ... too many players to get rid of and laporta may not get the all players we needs
