Im sure he will go to PSG this season, Neymar wouldnt have extend with psg if messi wouldnt go there i think. Who will replace him ?

Hopefully a TEAM effort will replace him. we gotta stop buying big name players for 100s of millions to replace players. Barca existed before Messi and it'll exist after him
I would rather watch a team of players working together with multiple scorers than a team of drones siphoning everything to Messi as they haven't known anything else

I like team effort but seeing the current team i have huge doubtes if it will be enough.

Sadly agree but only time will tell. we've had periods of Messi being out but the players always knew he'd be back eventually. if he leaves, its make or break for many of them. part of the reason I wanted him to leave last summer, this season we could of used to figure out who to keep going forward, the season was pretty much a write off anyways.
Lol, Barcelona almost ALWAYS had superstars in the attack. We are not Liverpool. Also, if Messi leaves, this current team is not good enough to step up in his absence. People don't understand...this team would battle with the likes of Villareal if Messi wasn't in it. Well, i suppose we'll see next season, because i am fairly certain he'll leave this summer.

He's not going to stay simply because of Aguero. This guy wanted to leave Barca and his buddy Suarez behind. Signing a friend of his won't change his mind if he sees that the team have no chance of competing for every major title.

I dont think it's possible for us to be competitive for CL next year. Moreover, Laporta would be a clown if his priority is to convince Messi to stay by rushing to rebuild this team at the expense of what's best for us in the long term.

Yeah, people keep the amigos/friends theory, but Messi was always too compete for thus shir.
He has seen all his buddies leaving over the years and didn't blink. He understands the game and the business

I don't dispute that we always had superstars but that isn't happening anymore with our financial woes. Messi has to leave at some point, this summer, next summer.. doesn't really matter we are prolonging the inevitable and in doing so we are destroying the final years of Messi's career.
We will be in a battle for top4 with the state of our current squad but maybe we need to follow Liverpool by example; sign talents under a decent manager and develop them. The 100million blowout every summer isn't working anymore

Of course no super star in the past can even come close to Messi's contribution to the team but have you seen Barcelona in the last ... like 10 years ? at his best it was actually Messi doing wonders and the rest is there to give him the ball back with Iniesta shining times to times.
Now you want to turn Barcelona to Bayern Munich ? good luck with that

Would be an a**hole move if he waited until the Copa ends to decide. Barca shouldn't wait for his decision like they did with Neymar. Either he decides when the season ends, or good luck in another team.

He probably wants to see if Laporta can bring someone good so he won't have to carry some plebs again for another season in hope of winning a spanish cup

He is the fucking captain, if he loves the club even a little he must decide before the Copa. Barca don't have the luxury to plan their summer without knowing if Messi will decide to renew or not.
Well regardless of what Messi decision is, I hope we perform our intended Summer signings inspite of having to wait for Messi decision. To the extent that if it gets to near the end of the window without Messi having signed we have to tell him "sorry, we have to lower our offer as we don't have the same salary cap space available as previously".
But Messi does not strike me as someone who could focus on the Copa America with his future dwindling. So if he does go without a contract signed it means he has an offer on the table he is content to extent and is just waiting out better offers. Possibly from us, potentially like Neymar did.
