according to cadena ser it's likely he'll go to copa america without sign new contract

I also think he leave thats why Neymar has renewed his contract at PSG. Ney knows Messi will come to PSG.

I dont think it's possible for us to be competitive for CL next year. Moreover, Laporta would be a clown if his priority is to convince Messi to stay by rushing to rebuild this team at the expense of what's best for us in the long term.

Hahaha dont act like you want the best for barca, the only reason why you and our big 'barcafan' kingleo want that Messi leaves barca is because he has higher chance to win ballon dor at PSG/City

He is the fucking captain, if he loves the club even a little he must decide before the Copa. Barca don't have the luxury to plan their summer without knowing if Messi will decide to renew or not.

I think Messi has already said it to Laporta. The photos at Copa final, the BBQ (goodbye?)party and the renew of Ney at PSG are good indications for his leaving.

Would be doing everyone a favour by announcing his decision before heading to South America to prepare for Copa America.

We would be better prepared for the summer market and less noise surrounding Argentina during the tournament. He can sign a pre-contract with any club at any time so it's not as if he needs to wait for the transfer window to officially open before making anything public.

Copa America does not end until well into July so he would not even be our be our player anymore at that point. No need for it to get that far. Haaland is not coming, Neymar is not coming, Mbappe is not coming. The sporting project will not undergo some massive revolution this window.

Accept Aguero, Depay and Garcia, agree to a big pay cut and stay out of love for the club, or PSG are ready with a blank cheque and the better squad.

Yeah, announcing before Copa America would be better. Not the Neymar "SE QUEDA" bullshit that went 'till the end of July.

Also UEFA's impending 2-year ban on Barca, Real Madrid and Juventus could be a major factor in Leo's decision.

He has a good relationship with Laporta so if he is leaving even if it's not publicly announced, he would have discussed his intentions with him, giving time to sort stuff out.

Betting odds still in favor of him staying atm. One benefit from these last few weeks is that he knows full well what caliber this team is. If he had signed an extension say after the Sociedad match, then I might feel bad that he agreed to stay thinking that we had a turned a corner and were just a few small tweeks away from being a top team again. Now, it should be obvious what's in store for him if he stays, so it's up to him whether he has any ambition left in this sport or if he just wants to earn a decent wage playing with his amigos a bit longer.

I don't know. If Laporta comes at him and he is saying :''We'll sign Haaland'', i think he'll be persuaded. Of course, for that to happen, many other things have to happen,we have to sell Griezmann, Coutinho, Pyanic...but the latest stories suggest that this is possible, although i don t believe it.

I don't dispute that we always had superstars but that isn't happening anymore with our financial woes. Messi has to leave at some point, this summer, next summer.. doesn't really matter we are prolonging the inevitable and in doing so we are destroying the final years of Messi's career.

We will be in a battle for top4 with the state of our current squad but maybe we need to follow Liverpool by example; sign talents under a decent manager and develop them. The 100million blowout every summer isn't working anymore

Well,if we sign Klopp, that might work, but i doubt we ll do that. Where we can find this decent manager? Seems we have no choice in this moment, either washed up and not fit our style managers like Allegri or unproven quantity like Xavi.

Rejected first offer , wage cut was too huge for him. Messi Father and Laporta wants more talks

We should not buckle down and give him anywhere close to what he wants. He's already going to get a 33m loyalty bonus fee in June. He's then going to get a big signing-on fee after signing a new contract.

We honestly should just cut our losses if it means overpaying on a 34-year-old player who might not even be motivated next season.
