they're just predicting things, there are no real proof.
if messi really loves barca he could just decide to gave back that loyalty bonus to barca and can stay with very minimum salary or leave.
i think it's time for him to do whatever he wants. if he wants to go back to argentina or travel to miami or japan or china, let him be. he's dedicated half of his life at barca.
that also means good for barca in terms of expense.
well of course the overall image of the club will be impacted, but for barca real fan it won't be that reduced.

Club is clearly trying to milk the last juice from Messi's fame in the hopes we still stay relevant globally. It's pathetic. Ask yourself this, what would this club be known for once he leaves? Even during Ronaldinho era we were nowhere near as famous as we are now. This fame brings the club a ton of money from marketing and just global recognition. It's a brand essentially. I'm not even talking about the footballing side here.

You lose him and who knows what happens to the club as a whole. Probably lose a lot of sponsorship money.

Laporta bended for messi to bring aguero and lautaro in exchange deal with griezmann, and umtiti and dembele for paredes and di maria. We are argentina next season winning nothing dawgs, but argentina could have a shot at world cup 2022.

Football moves on very quickly but right now Messi is the biggest name in the sport and still the best player so of course Barca want to keep him, every other club would too. Richard is a real barcafan, he isnt one of the Messi fanboys like kingleo who arent barcafans. Just hoping that Messi wins ballon dor and then they are happy. Its not bad to be a Messi fanboy, im a Ronaldo fanboy, i admit it, he is the best player of my country and i like him but these messi fanboys dont care about barca, just want to see Messi lifting the golden ball. Messi leaving barca has a lot of bad points but one good aspect: The Messi fanboys will leave this forum too.

The problem is not that Messi winning ballon dor, of course this is great for barca, the problem is that some of this forum ONLY care about Messi winning ballon dor while dont care about barca titles !
