Yes i agree without Messi who created nothing this season, Suarez+Griez is a much better creative duo who would have won us the league & the CL for sure.

The only doubt i have is about the UEFA super cup.

You guys are using a very limited lense to analyze my statement. My statement is not who is better (Messi or Suarez) .. my statement is about how having a free roaming player with no defensive duties and having no proper finisher is worse than having a proper finisher that does no defensive duties and players with clear fixed positions that do their defensive duties.

Why? Because we will defend better and score just as much as we did

How? Today you have players like De Jong and Griezman covering the vacuum Messi creates when he drop back which hinders their defensive work as their is no proper striker, and there is also Pedri playing in CAM which leaves Messi acting as a CM sometimes ... waaaay to messy of a formation and a lot of accommodations. If we simply had a proper striker, then everyone else can do their defensive work and when we attack we feed the striker that is inside the box

Btw, sarcasm is not a logical response in an argument.. it?s actually a very weak response

Messi + Proper Striker = two players not doing defensive duties

Messi + No Proper Striker = one player not doing defensive duties + midfielders over stretching up front which hinders their defensive duties

No Messi + Proper Striker = one player not doing defensive duties


Conclusion: No Messi + Proper Striker = Best Defense

I am saying we can win the league mainly because we will be better organized and will actually defend better as per the argument with Fati_Future_BallonDor

Some of goals that we conceded this season were due to individual defensive errors.

Some examples of the top of my head:

-DJ foul for the penalty Getafe 1:0 defeat
-Lenglet foul for the penalty vs RM 3:1 defeat
-Lenglet foul for the penalty vs Cadiz 1:1 draw
-Lenglet misspass vs Cadiz in 2:1 defeat
-Araujo miscontrol vs Eibar in 1:1 draw
-MATS inexplicably rushing out vs ATM 1:0 defeat
-Neto/Pique error vs Alaves in the 1:1 draw

I'm pretty sure I missed more. Just switching Messi for Suarez for 'defensive organization' will not help prevent these individual defensive errors from happening.

Cut those errors out and we could be leading La Liga right now.

As mentioned before, Messi has a good relationship with Laporta. He will be well aware of Messi?s intentions long before we find out. So no, we don?t need to know early on, just Laporta and his people do. Or we can spend the next few months ripping into our greatest player based on tabloid rumours?

Havent you seen messi rob the ball or tackle players before? I can search some of them but im too lazy. Its not often but certainly not doing anything is overstretch.
