Lionel Messi - v7

Messi was good overall after a bad start, but in the big games he was quite silent. If we are to win the league this coming season, we need a better season from him. Not just from him, but as he is our best players still and most of our offensive threat... a lot will depend on him.

Messi had a rough start of a season but some posters, instead of giving him the benefit of the doubt, began saying that he was washed up, throwing all kinds of invectives around. Our best player of all time and for many the GOAT couldn't get just be in a slump and have some patience. Some posters spouted some vile shit at someone who was one of the cornerstones of the best period in our club's hsitory. Those cunts have no excuse and should be shamed as the ungrateful pos that they are.

Would still like to see him in the premier league along with busquets. Busquets is still quality and doesn't always deserve the negative posts most here give him. He would shut ye up if he was at city as well

You posted exactly the same point I was trying to make. Better worded. Thank you.

busquets in PL? You have to be joking

More intensity in the premier league is a myth. Football is played at the same speed in la liga and the premier league. All teams pass the ball more than play direct in the premier league now especially at City. Barcelona conceding goals is a team thing and not a busquets thing mostly anyway. Busquets is quicker than people think. There are slower defensive mids in the premier league

Its good that Messi has moved on, Messi of old is gone and washed up. Yes we might have been able to benefit from him here and there still if he stayed, but the return on investment would be horrible and we need to move on and face reality.

No worries.

It was truly a sight to behold how people were saying that Messi was more at fault for our situation than fucking Bartomeu and him going against Barto's clique was inexcusable. They were able to interpret every quote just so that Messi was blamed for the shit happening at the club. Fast forward 1 year and we are over a billion in debt, watching us barely being able to register players because Bartomeu shat the bed hard giving every joe the contract of their lives while Messi is one of the players accepting a wage cut. Go figure.

What are you on about? It is rumored that Messi has accepted a wage cut and is staying for the next 5 years.

"Done" is the most ridiculous and retarded (excuse me please, no offense) word that fans love throwing at players after one or two bad performances/showings.

Rodri seems to be doing "fine" there , and the guy looks slower than Busquets. Not even going to mention the difference between them when they are on the ball.

Maybe he will do well for a team like city but i see him in danger under pressure which he will get more in PL than in la liga. For example look how he played against liverpool 2019, guy was completely destroyed by the pressing. Lately i see busi only doing well when he plays against small teams, the big teams are as the name already suggests too big.

The better teams nullify him now, like Brazil did in the Copa. He's not scored many in Classico's for a while.

Or he just has a much shitter team? In the big games,no player can't make a single difference. You need a team. Barca is absolutely shambles besides 2-3 players.
