As I said the huge mass of football fans (which is the most important thing for sponsors) follow players, they support them with their national team or any league team they play on, and that has been the case since at least two decades.

Messi & CR7 are of course an incredibly extreme case.

Laporta is just as slimy as the rest of them. There's no way he wouldn't have known this.

With the numbers Laporta presented yesterday, it was always going to be impossible, yet he lied through his teeth to win his campaign and waited until the new fiscal year had started to make the announcement.
