Lionel Messi - v7

anyways, this also reveals why EV was so sure he would not be sacked. He had the full support of the heavyweights who backed him when the decision whether to sack him or not was being made after Anfield and the Copa final. Until Abidal decided to sack him, that is, which caused scenes among the Amigos.

I just don't get his point, sure Abidal comes out and points at Suarez, Rakitic and Busquets were the ones that underperformed, now what?

None of us knows the real situation in the locker room but Messi is 100% right on this. This puppet went out with this stupid story just to show the world he has some authority in the club while we all know he has none at all. Abidal was a great player but he is horrible sporting director with seriously low IQ.

Throwing around cliches like 'puppet' when backed up by nothing.

Abidal has done exactly the right thing and opposite of what the board who seem to live to serve the older core would have wanted.

True.

But if he had given specific names(like Leo is saying),this circus would have reached unprecedented levels.

So maybe he shouldn’t have said anything at all.But damn, someone in this club said the truth and he is being crucified.

I think this exposed that there are problems at every single layer of this club at the moment from the board of directors, the management division, managers, players etc...

I think this whole event showed just how structurally fragile the club is at the moment.

One push too hard and this whole thing could come crashing down.

Kinda scary.

It’s Leo’s role as a captain and leader to put team’s success above the personal relationships of Club de Amigos, isn’t it though?

I hear you and that's why he shouldn't be cap in the 1st place. He seems like the super loyal, friends for life type. No way he'd ask for Suarez to be sacked even if it guaranteed a treble. Would never happen.

Perso, I still think it's the board who fumbled on this one. With all the money, club prestige (ahem, well a few years back) and scouting resources at their disposal, they should've built a top squad by now.

His point is retaliation for the sacking of Valverde. Everything fits.

The old guys wanted Valverde because they had power and the team was running a very lax match-preparation. He was sacked by executive decision without them being consulted, and now surprise suprirse, the Chief Amigo tries to get one of the architects of EV sacking sacked in return.

Those who support Messi in this are very wrong imo.

According to this, it was the French clan who communicated to Abidal about Valverde's training:

Good on them if that is true and not easy thing to do to piss off the amigos.

Going be MATS comments after games etc can believe he would have spoken up.

Many people are justifying their statement just by looking at the result, and not the play. Im not against EV because of the results, but by the way the team play when defending when in lead. It was not the character at all. Im loving this team due to the team's confident in ball in whatever situation, when leading and more so when we are behind.

I was always getting the fear when we just stood still defending waiting for goal to come. Barca defending by getting the ball a lot and move forward. And if the case was the goal is due to our back line moves too up front, it is always a risk, but i like it more like that rather than a goal due to losing posession and defend static and too deep.

But, anyway, nowadays it is disappointing that we don't have players that have the capability of high line defending.

Messi's point in all of this is VERY wrong. Firstly he shouldn't respond to this via Instagram (or publicly). Let alone everything else.

The board is definitely responsible for all this shit. They’ve been mismanaging the club since 2010.Got a few titles because of Messi, the golden generation and a few smart transfers but we could have and should have been way more successful.

Abidal hasn't done shit. Valverde was sacked when basically all our excuses run out and he did that in the middle of the season with no backup solution. To be completely fair Barto did that and not Abidal. After that he was all over the place. He went for Koeman than for Xavi and than for Pochettino and he finally settled with Setien as a 4th or 5th choice and now he is claiming Saitien was the right solution with Barca DNA. A fucking puppet and a clown that's what he is.

Doubt it's true. Todibo wouldn't say anything, Umtiti was injured for a long time and that leaves us with just Griezmann and Lenglet.

As for Messi, I don’t want to sell him, just remove his amigos, and if he kicks up a fuss about that it will be time to move on from him too as he’s clearly a toxic force in that case.

Well, this reaction is kind of in this direction. EV was an amigo. He was removed, and now Messi has turned against the ones who planned the sacking.
