With Messi and his friends it has been the same old listless and lifeless rut, lacking motivations and efforts and almost everything it takes to win football games these days. They are only relying on moments of brilliance and trickery here and there and those are starting to dwindle too, expectedly with them aging. With Messi and his friends we will always like this deadwood, no matter who is in charge. I suspect not even Pep can turn things around.

I hope we don?t foolishly offer Messi a big bump in his new contract. I?d rather see him walk at the end of this contract and we start anew. A total reboot.

Exactly, Messi complains about things he created. I don't think he understands that those comfy years with Valverde cost any intensity this team had. It says something when FDJ hires personal physical coach to keep up his physical condition!! This team is in terrible shape.

Exactly. It is incredible to see a grown men in his 30’s sulking like he did. He needs to grow up and men up, he has been pampered with everything, he is in no position to sulk whatsoever.

These are only a little portion of the things that are being said around here about Messi.

Check out the negative things said about:
- Busquets: He was always slow, but is too slow now to be playing a CDM at a high level. He is ok for smaller games.
- Vidal: He is too aggressive and leaves many open spaces. Has a bad first touch and bad close passing.
- Rakitic: He is constantly hiding and always back passes. He has also become too slow.
- Suarez: He is too fat / slow. He doesn't make many runs. He misplaces a ton of passes and breaks up the build up. He is Messi's friend.

Spot the difference?

A lot of things are wrong. especially him hindering misfielders or be the cause of Argentina's decline.
Without Messi Argentina would not qualify for cups and Barca would compete to qualify for EL.
