Messi doesn't need to run as much as the rest of the team IF the rest of the team can over compensate for it. It is simple mathematics.

9 outfield players compensating for 1, is veeeeeery different to 7 outfield players compensating for 3 (Messi, Suarez, Busquets).

Compromised frontline, compromised midfield and then to top it off, two fullbacks out of position and a CB duo with the pace of Donald Trump's toupee.

Thats something that many of us have have pointed out repeatedly over the last couple of years, yet nothing changes...

Valverde should have left after last season, firing him in the middle of this season probably did more harm then good what this season is concerned.

We'd have won the league if we got Neymar. Partly because Neymar would have offered more but also because Messi would have been happier and therefore a happier dressing room. It's a mediocre Real Madrid, they've won the league because of Barca being even worse than mediocre and still needing regular help from VAR.

However, we wouldn't have had enough in Europe as we didn't while Neymar was here originally (2015 aside) while MSN were all at their peak.

It's the midfield that needs an overhaul. Suarez needs replacing with a top striker (Griez was a terrible fit).

Idk if he was pissed about Setien and his bff not starting or just unmotivated but that performance was shameful for a captain.

Would be understandable to be unhappy with the team but if his priorities were keeping Valverde and trying to sign Neymar he should also partly blame himself. He has the power to get any board or coach out of the club, should've used it when he had the opportunity if he wants better chances to win the CL.

Yeah I agree. Midfield is awful and needs updating fast. Starting with forcing Rakitic and Vidal out, then relegating busquets to the bench. And for me personally kicking roberto out to either back up RB or he can leave. Suarez too, so many problems though and hard to see where the solutions are.

Someone should sit him down and tell him that we need to rebuild and ask him if he is on board with that. If he is ok, but if he isn't, we should thank him for everything and move on before this shit gets even worse.
