Board is leaving so it's not about the board. It's about his buddies being shown the door.

Nope, if he leaves to City it's because he thinks Barcelona are not competitive in Europe and he always said he was staying as long as Barca had a winning sporting project. The move to City only confirms that @DonAk was right since the beginning and the supposed "power move" was all bs.

That was their intention from the start. I bet they provoked him intentionally just to create all of this mess.

lol sure. That's why they gave him astronomical wages and kept his buddy despite him being shit for 2 years. Also, Koeman clearly said he wants to build the team on Messi.

Messi is not leaving Barcelona after staying here for nearly 20 years just because they decided to get rid of Suarez. He had already made his decision to leave before Barto opened his mouth to a select few journalists that are in his camp. Heck it was reported by people close to his family that warned that he might be leaving this summer, this was reported in January 2020.

People might believe that and they are free to do that, but there's been talk about him possibly leaving for two years now. He negotiated hard and long for this clause to be included for a reason. Perhaps to keep the pressure on Bartomeu and the board to build a winning project which they have failed to do. Not to forget hiring a company to slander him and the players on social media, Mundo Deportivo and Sport constantly blaming the players and Messi for doing XYZ and wantng XYZ player while never questioning Bartomeu's management.

Even after the Bayern loss you have these two media outlets claiming it's a sporting crisis and not an institutional one, once again blaming the players and Messi in particular and not even lifting a finger to question Bartomeu and this board for how we even got to this point and mess in the first place.

Yea, and it totally makes sense logically to leave right when there will be new elections, and right when the team is going to be rebuilt by getting rid of some Amigos. Makes zero sense.

While in 2018-2019, everything was fine and he was promising the fans to win the CL.

What has changed in 2020 comparing to 2019? Valverde got sacked without their consent, and the veterans are now on the chopping block after a manager with high authority was named. That's the major changes compared to 2019 when he was very pleased.

Yeah but as far as I know Laporta also has no plan at all.

What plan exactly? All those plans get thrown out of the window once elections are over anyway.
Laporta hasn't even started campaigning, 12 days ago the elections were 11 months ahead. Why he need to present anyone a plan when the state of the club could change a lot during that time.
hell, it changed drastically in less than 2 weeks.
I mean we can argue about his plan when there is 1 month ahead of elections.
