Lionel Messi - v7

Very true. We think Messi leaving will BE disaster, despite the fact that we already live amidst it.
Form me it will be more fun watching Barca with likes of DeJong, Puig, Pedri, Trincao and Fati failing than watching old farts failing, because in former case there is at least hope and excitement for thing that may come. No thing will come with these fat, comfy loosers and football will be terrible guaranteed.

100%

People forget that we have played good football without Messi and Suarez. It’s not like we will be a mid table team if they leave. Obviously it will hurt and there will be growing pains but we will be fine.

Our team is made up of players who were stars at their former clubs.... without the default look to Messi option we can see these players flourish again.

Any proper legend should have been ecstatic about the new changes. New manager who wants to work hard, trying to improve the team at last. And him gets to stay and be the leader of the new crop of players, while we are upgraded in several positions with faster younger players.

Isn't this the change everybody wanted? It's perfect for any legend with half a brain. Except a guy who is too dumb to realize that he has to put the club in front of his friends.

This all day long.
The changes Koeman is trying to make are for the benefit of Barca and also for Messi as well.
I'm sick of seeing these old overpaid has-beens fucking it up time after time.
If that isn't good enough for him then he can go. We move on without him while getting appropriately compensated for his transfer.

The issue is Messi he was fine with mediocre coach like Valverde who never cared about trainings and match physical preparation. Also he is fine with his lazy and weak mentality amigos who earn more than Wall Street top Investment bankers. Disturb this harmony he is in and he won't be happy. First blood was when his beloved coach was sacked and QS emphasis in hard trainings which lasted only few weeks. Not buying Neymar and going for Griezmann was another mistake by Barto (for me we should've stay way from both Neymar and Griezmann). Now that Barto is going after the Amigos, selling them or giving them less prominent roles added to his anger.

Both Barto and Messi' are clueless when it comes to having a proper sporting project. Both of them responsible for the past 3 years UCL humiliations.

Messi should think logically not emotionally, and shouldn't be influenced by his friends. As for Barto, he can fuck off.

Muller: “Before the match vs Barcelona, we were on pitch ten minutes before Barcelona and their warm up was very relaxed. Perhaps it’s another philosophy, but it was clear we had more hunger."

Barto is levels above Messi in politics/power play.

Honestly, Barto got him in a bind in terms of optics.
Barto is an idiot, Messi is football player so no expectations there, but Barto is really bad at politics. This is only thing he can say if Messi really wants to go. This is just to cover himself, thats all. "Guys, you see, he wanted to leave to City and its not because of me. Lets build project together".

I propose to Messi to get Barto out, retire right away, and candidate himself. Or, better yet, can he be president and player at the same time?

He'll be able to:

- keep and extend Suarez with a raise
- sack Koeman and humiliate him publicly
- sell De Jong + half the team and bring Neymar
- make Antonella head of the Marketing department

+ many others.

Koeman is fucking hack, as was Setien and Valverde before him, just a guy this board would take. He has 0 result behind him. Nothing. Zlich. His tough way with players is what anyone on this board would do (for years mind you). Getting rid of Rakitic, Busi from first team would be first thing any Barca fan would do, but that doesn't tell you he has any plan. For anyone that watched him throughout the years, he is absolute average.

Nice from board to get him to play tough with players, as if they are only ones to blame.

What changes? Griezmann who plays same position as Leo is still here, any plans Koeman has is not going to save this tactical mess unless Barca can sell overpriced Griez. People here can keep dreaming and coming up with any fantasy lineup but its never gonna work out in reality, admit it we are already fcked either way.

And thats the thing, Messi doesn't think these guys are ready to win ANYTHING. And then why stay with 33yr on back? No point for him. These young guys can wait for 3-4-5 years, until project is built around new guys, but Messi can't. It's now or never for him to have any chance of winning. If he stays, this team is not winning anything in next few years, if he goes, same thing. So really, only thing that would be different is Messi putting 40-50 goals behind the net and us losing vs him not putting 40-50 for Barca and us still losing.

Barca need to rebuild and Messi needs to win now.

Amigos needed power taken away and have played their part in using power to influence board who were scared of them for too long.

Personally don?t even believe that the changes needed would have been supported by amigos who still believe they are top players and the rest of team and coaches not been good enough.

Sad to see Messi go but by happier watching Barca without him and Suarez partnered in attack.

Messi ruining fantasy football in EPL though leaves a bitter taste.
