More and more voices in Barcelona's board believe that the club should approach Lionel Messi's inevitable departure and try to convince Bartomeu to seek a friendlier way out. On Wednesday, or no later than Thursday, Jorge Messi will meet with Bartomeu.

In the end I can see it going that way. Barto was looking like mad man who wanted to keep Messi, but Messi just wanted to go so he had to back down. Just wondering if amigotards are still here or did they change their theory?

nothing wrong, but i prefer flair and trickery over donkeys that run and defend a la atletico or chelsea in the mourinho days. sure, you have to mix it up, but in the end football is a form of entertainment. you don't really watch it to see 22 idiots run a lot.

Hard working doesn't have to necessarily translate into running on the pitch just for the sake of running, it is more of an attitude to treat your job (which you are getting paid more than handsomely to do) seriously every second you are on the pitch and the mentality to do your best. For our team, many players are so damn lazy (or infected by the lazy culture that has been with us for so many years) that many don't care to put in 100% they should be giving, whether it is taking a notch up in intensity during training or making those runs or help defending during a game etc. To me working hard is the foundation of everything, you can't even sustain your flair and trickery without working hard and that mentality to give everything. And those might win some games here and there but in the long term they won't win you games.

By Wednesday or Thursday at the latest, there will be a meeting between Jorge Messi (Messi’s Father) and Bartomeu.

In the Barcelona board, there are more and more members who believe that the club should bring their positions closer to the inevitable departure of Messi and try to convince Bartomeu to look for a friendly exit.

12/13 Ronaldo, played against a strong Manchester United and scored home and away. Quarterfinal 3 goals against Galatasaray and against Dortmund atleast 1 goal.
11/12 Messi, even against Chelsea he played well just unlucky
Messi in 2012/13, remember those Milan and psg games?
Dont get fooled by stats revisionism.

Good games to revisit by the way for those who claim he crumbles under pressure or cant lift a teams spirit.

It makes me laugh when people say Messi is a better league player and Ronaldo is the better CL player. The better player is better whatever the competition. I know it might be an unpopular opinion, but I do think playing the "Barca way" has contributed to our lack of success in the CL.

The style we play, you will be better most games in the season, but we are always susceptible to a beating than a more well rounded team. If the players aren't the best or on top form, it becomes very difficult to win playing the Barca way. Other teams might not reach the highs we reach and they don't reach the lows we reach. We won 2 CL's in the past decade and I have know doubt we would have won more if it was a European super League format instead of a knockout competition. Some of the years real Madrid won the competition, they didn't even win their group. Once they got into the knockout stages they were always dangerous.

It's also one of the reasons I believe pep has struggled to win a CL with a different team as he shares the same philosophy.

I really hope Alba was also saying goodbye...that cry baby needs to go asap. Buy Gaya for a measly 20M, I'm sure Valencia will accept it in the state that they're in right now.

That's because Jordan falls in the .1% of athletes, dawg.

GOAT talent. GOAT mentality. GOAT leader.

Messi is the GOAT talent in football, but he doesn't have the best mentality or leadership skills on/off the pitch.

I remember that game against PSG where he came on, clearly injured, limping and barely able to do anything, nevertheless it put the fear of God into their players and we were able to advance. Speaks more of PSG though that 10% of Messi was enough to send them packing but still funny.
