Valverde speaks! Hints at player power and the dressing room dynamic but is professional as always.

Valverde speaks!

" was I too inexperienced for the champions league? I don't think so, I don't want to get into details now but the players all knew what to do once the opposition began to tire, I kept them on rather than make changes because of the game plan we agreed on together, if you want to know why we lost look at the chances missed each away leg compared to the chances we conceded. I am sad for the fans truly, we all wanted to bring back the champions league and we could have done it both times."

"A return to management? Maybe"

" Arguments with Messi and Iniesta? It's better people do not know the truth"

Arguments with Iniesta? The fuck? The only scenario I can see this happening is Roma?

 Valverde speaks... and he's the beta we all knew he was all along. Maybe not all, EV cult is still in denial, but still... most.

"Once the opposition began to tire". Maybe he doesn't know that in CL quarters, semis, and final, teams can keep a pretty intense rhythm for a mere 90 mins. They can pace themselves vs Cagliari and Cesena between the Barca game and go all out in CL. The man was clueless, almost as clueless as the amigo clan.

Based on his "teams will get tired" theory, it's a mystery how both Rome and Liverpool scored against us 5 goals in the 2nd half and only 2 goals in the first one. Man, I bet behind closed doors some of the talks inside the team were retarded to the extreme.

Iniesta was furious about the game, as it was clear we were losing the tie even since the first half. We were just 0-1 down but we weren't counting in attack at all and Roma were mauling us.

The Roma match was pure domination from the italian club, we started to attack when we were 0-3 down lol. Thought we would have learned from this but no serghei, we lose one year later 0-4 :( Two CL's which barca could have won.

Ernesto "Misterio" Valverde clearly thought the pressing machines we had among our ranks (Busquets, Rakitic, Suarez, Messi, Roberto, Alba) would not tire before the likes of Dzeko, Wijnaldum, Mane, and co.

I really don't see where he miscalculated :mou:

 This idea with teams in CL tiring out and us miraculously taking control in the 2nd half was pure delusion. Hilarious. It's better that leaks about those CL ties aren't exposed, people would be in shock at the level of delusion and amateurship. We're talking about dilettantes here. Players should stick to playing and managers should grow some balls and take control of their profession.

Both Rome and Liverpool scored the decisive goal in min 80 or so. When exactly were they supposed to tire, after the game when they celebrated going through to the semis or final?

Pique said that when Liverpool's first goal went in, some players had flashbacks of the Roma comeback and creating a mental block.

So, EV was also to blame for the Anfield Comeback and not just the players since Roma's comeback was mostly EV's fault.

Also, not to mention subbing in Arthur in the Anfield game when most of the damage has already been done.
