Agreed. Tough individual league. Certainly not the place you want to be as an ageing player, and the bad weather hasn't hit yet.

Let's hope Dembele and Umtiti move there.

Zlatan scored 38 in 31 during his final season at PSG as a 34 year old. Neymar and Messi are just being bums.

This week is very tough for ucl teams against lower teams in their respective league as PSG, Madrid, Bayern each receive defeats against mid to bottom table opponents. MU struggled against Everton at home though they're both upper table... and Barca, against fellow ucl members so no fitness reason.

Maybe the effect of having a pie between ucl and international break. And oh yeah, it seems that messi' last games from his argentina schedule is just one day before psg's next match???

Not sure what your point is. If anything, Messi should be dominating Ligue 1 even more then.

Productivity for different players happens at different stages.

By that token, I could also argue why Ibra wasn't producing those stats in his 20s and early 30s. Where Messi basically averages 50 goals a season.

Supporting Messi at this stage of his career isn't for you if you're going to have a meltdown/set false expectations over every game he doesn't score in. He only cares about CL and Argentina at this point. I would only be worried if he starts to be scoreless in CL games.

If he was about padding numbers, he wouldn't have passed up the 20ish or so penalties he did at Barca.

From what i saw, he basically played good last night and it's just his first full match in ligue one with a new club with his team mates in front both also thirsty for goals but wasted several rather easier chances started or directly provided by him, mbappe at least twice, -just facing goal keepers, not an entire wall of defenders that he were given the ball during his shots-

Also that time when ney and mbappe both go for a shot -quite embarassing one that was-
Pretty unlucky too with the disallowed goal. Started by messi and di maria if i'm not mistaken, but this time mbappe did well with his pacey run, but too bad it's offside. Ney was off last night. Did some dribbles but mainly on the wing with bad end result. Not efficient to be exact.

I wanna see this lineup as a 352 if Neybum keeps flopping: Donnaruma, Marquinhos, SR4, Kimpembe, Hakimi, Herrera/Gini, Gueye, Verratti, Mendes, Leo, Mbappe

would love to know how the world would view him if he played his whole career just like 2006-2009 and changed to be a playmaker with 15-20 goals per season
