Messi had reached the point he gave up in big some big games not going Barcas way.
Bayern is worst example.
No one at club had balls to pull him up on it as all knew where power lay in club and Messi could remove a board.

Bad for club and Messi that situation.
Been better to try and cash in and rid all amigos and try to rebuild earlier but good luck to any board attempting that.
I find Barca much more interesting to watch now than majority of Messi/Suarez amigo years towards the end as as feels as if something can be built gain.
Some oldies still to go though...

Though its an insane amount of trophies, he could have got a lot more, thats how good Messi was. Until 2012 Messi was a title guarantee, it was impossible not to win titles when he played for your team. He got more in chill mode after that year. In 2015 he got back to his best, he wanted to win cl and see he won the treble. Then he got back to relaxing mode, went from RW more to the middle for more fun. 2019 was unlucky. But have to say PSG Messi is another guy, seems unproffessionell - not the Messi we know.

He went to PSG to win CL and expand his legacy, not Ligue 1. 1 LL is probably worth 10 Ligue 1 with PSG.
He's scored 5 goals in 5 CL games for them in a relatively tough group.
If he starts pulling a Neymar and missing CL games to fly over to Argentina, you have a point.

He should really be putting up better G&A numbers in Ligue 1, but for PSG, it was always about the CL.
PSG owners would not give a rat's ass if Messi only had 1 league goal as long as the CL win is achieved.
