Pedro doesn't offer us what Neymar does. Neymar was very good yesterday, dribbled well and earned a few free kicks just outside the box. The finishing is still not there but none of the front three could score yesterday with Hart having the game of his life.

Neymar will obviously play and there's no point in predicting a start for Pedro. Lucho isn't that stupid to separate MSN right for the El Clasico. lol

As much as I'm frustrated with Neymar lately, he's still 3rd best goal scorer of La Liga behind Messi & Cristiano, he needs to play, he'll get back to his top form at some point and we can't take the risk benching him for El Clasico, especially since Pedro offers nothing technically, and has been too desperate to score lately which is clouding his judgments..

Mid-February. And that's a pretty serious accusation Bojan. It seems you don't remember how bad Pedro was in 11/12 and 12/13. Last season he wasn't bad, but he wasn't setting the world alight either. Pedro has done us a lot of good. But that was in the past. And that doesn't matter now. We can't just play Pedro just because he used to be good. Don't let your sentiments cloud your judgement.

Start Pedro and it makes it easier for teams to mark Messi.

At moment teams are having huge trouble trying to contain the front three, with Pedro wide left they will leave him open to receive ball wide and shut off more Mess/Suarez space.

Neymar was good last night anyway bare a couple of poor decisions on front of goal in first half.

What people dont understand is that Pedro isnt a threat. Defenders dont even mark him, that's how shit he is; Neymar is different, you give him space and he'll kill you. When you mark Neymar, there's obviously more space and less defenders for Messi and Suarez

Unlile RM, Barca has good depth. Lucho can go as deep as the trusted alternatives, Pedro, Xavi, Raf, Mathieu, Bartra, and Barca maintains pretty much the same quality as with the first 11. I would add Adriano to that list, but Lucho does not agree. Pedro has not been quite good enough recently, but you have to bet on his long-proven form.

I am OK with any of these alternatives for el clasico, I do trust Lucho's judgement about who to plan when. Though not Xavi and Iniesta together. And of course, Messi, Bravo, Masch and Pique must play. And you would have to insane to send Mathieu out there at LB ever again.

Pedro needs to get a little more respect, he isnt a shit player he is an extremely usefull, unselfish teamplayer who is ideal as a sub, weaker liga games or when players are injured.
With that in mind though, Neymar should always start against Real, which he will.

Unless Busquets magically makes it we will play the same line up as vs City (besides Bravo for Mats), Barca vs Real should always be a 50/50 matchup nowadays but with our home advantage and good form compared to theirs we need to beat them in similair fashion as they did us in october.

I have all the respect for Pedro and I'm aware of how much he's done for us but times have changed and right now his role should be restricted to be coming on at the end of the games that already have been won so Neymar or Suarez can rest.

Of course. However people should also realize that Pedro isn't at the level he was in 10/11, which means that he wouldn't be a 1 for 1 replacement for Neymar if we wanted to bench him.
