Of course I dont expect us to outplay or dominate every opponent. I never said that because its nonsense.

Our disagreement is over "we have had a bunch of solid collective performances this year".

I would claim that we havent improved that immensily. And the results are mainly due to, well, to be honest, messi in god mode. I havent seen the the bunch of collective performances like you have. I have seen a bunch of performances where players like iniesta, raki, alves, rafinha, mathieu, masch, busi have played and cooperated ok, and where messi, suarez and neymar have fixed the results - due to individual performance.

Dont misunderstand though, I love to see the matches, but its messi that has been my primary motivation the last five years(not ashamed to say it). And I think most of the results are due to him, not the collective. I may be very wrong, but this has to be my last words for now.
It looks like it's all due to Messi because he takes the game on his shoulders and wants to be on the ball all the time. But the collective that works around him is what allows him to do so and he can hold on to the ball as long as he wants because with high pressing his mates will get the ball back for him if he loses it. It's impossible to be non-reliant on Messi when he's on your team but it doesn't give you the right to undermine the work players around him do.

I cant possible disagree with your first claim because its quite obvious that one player cant beat 11 players. The collective allows Him and so on...

The question is about part/whole. I dont undermine the other barcaplayers, I simply state that messi makes them look better Than they are(have been in january/february).

I'd disagree, linetty hit the nail on the head; you are quite clearly undermining the work of the players in the "team". Next time you watch a Barça match remember what linetty has said and observe it in motion.

I'm a bit biased because I like Messi a lot, but as much as Xavi and Iniesta were big part of the Barça game a couple years ago, today it's Messi who has to create everything, just notice how you (I) get disapointed everytime he gives back the pass in midfield instead of pushing through, you just know, he has to be the one to push otherwise it's not gonna happen, and it's just such a shame to see him dropping that deep to get the ball and try and take it all the way ...

Anyway, i'm expecting a win tomorrow, i won't venture into giving a score, at this point, a win is a win hehe

I am starting to get a little bit frustrated with the fact that Xavi plays far less than he should in my opinion. To me, he clearly showed more consistency and regularity than Iniesta who is, without a doubt, out of shape and inferior to his top level. My wteam for today :

------------------------------------------------Bravo--------------------------------------------------
------------------------Bartra------------------------------------------Mathieu-----------------------
--------Alves---------------------------------------------------------------------------Alba-----------
-------------------------------------------------Busquets----------------------------------------------
-------------------------Rakitic----------------------------------------Xavi----------------------------
-------------Pedro------------------------------Messi-----------------------------Neymar------------

I am really hoping that Enrique starts to bench Iniesta a little bit. I am clearly not happy with his level at the moment.

Bartra, Mathieu, Xavi, Rafinha, and Pedro could
start today's game against Granada [Mundo
Deportivo ]

we'd probably drop points if that happens..

Mathieu is a jinx man, can't be playing him. Bartra for Masch, Pedro for Neymar and maybe Xavi for one of Iniesta/Rakitic.

Granada is having a lamentable season but games at 4pm are always tricky. Don't think those predictions from MD about who could start the next game are that accurate though. But I can see Bartra & Pedro starting and then either Iniesta-Xavi or Rafinha-Xavi (Iniesta-Rafinha is off the table obviously, although does Rakitic need rest? He rarely plays the entire 90 mins).
