Eder Sarabia (assistant coach): "We had alternatives, but we think this lineup is the best for today."

A little bit of pragmatism in his first game. It might be a couple weeks but we won’t be seeing this midfield much at all going forward

Guess so. No choice but to play the geriatrics. Hopefully the new training regimen did them some good.

How could anyone on the board agree to send Aleña on loan after watching Rakitić vs Espanyol?

The player wanted to leave on loan after rubbing the bench non stop under Valverde in the first half a season. Today he played 70 mins vs Sociedad, instead of 0 for Barca.

This forum is great. :rofl1:

Oh, pipe down you petulant tossers. I might end up becoming one of Quique's biggest "apologists" by the season's end after taking a gander at some of the bed-wetting, hysterical children on here.

Not to be a party popper but don't be surprised if setien turns out to be a yes man and a player pleaser. Small coach who never managed a big team, he is fit for that kind of a person.

This is his first match and we have injuries and everything so I am not judging him right now but let's see what he does later on.

Interesting evening ahead for sure. We definitely played our best game against Atlectio (even if we lost) so he has something to build on. Let's see who will be the number 9? Messi or Greizmann? I only hope that we have some sort of penetration and don't just keep the ball. We're at home, so a comfortable victory is expected. Will we get a clean sheet? 3-1 Barca.
