Even the MD journalists who try to support the board as much as they can are hating this move and speaking against it.
This might turn into a huge shitstorm in Barcelona and I won't be surprised if even the press run out of patience with Neymar and especially Neymar Sr.
If Neymar doesn't have a great season and contribute to us playing much better and winning, then I think it's going to turn very ugly and the press will start asking for him to be sold, and honestly, I might agree with them too.
Robert and Bartomeu just got to deliver with a big midfield signing now or else they'll have people start calling for their heads. A lot of pressure on them now.

Salary of around 4m a year is not huge and usually the players signing on fees dont get added to that.
If he comes and is shit it will be a waste of a wage but for a squad player at top club 4m a year is not that big.

Depends on if it's gross or net.
It's actually 5m taking his bonus into account. If it's net then he'll make more than Umtiti who will be a starter.
Hope for our sake it's gross though, because even you cannot justify paying 5m net for a soon-to-be 27 year old AM from Brazil who has regressed the past two seasons and never played in Europe.
The club have talked about the wage structure and how they have to sort it out, so it would be inexplicable to give that much money to a player like that.

It will be gross. No way it will be net.
Can add the the signing on fee to make that 5m but that doesnt normally happen with the signing fees that are almost always paid across the contract.

4m salary and 5m spread over 5 years.
So that's kind of why I added a million on top of the 4 in salary.

I know why you added it but signing on fees are often spread out across a contract and players lose them if put in a transfer request. Not usually outlined as wages.
Can add it and say he is getting no signing fee I suppose.
