By the time there is a new board Messi will be 29, Suarez 29, Neymar 24 (I think he is going to be the main star by 2016), and Iniesta 32.

Unless there's some type of a magic turn around then there's no way Messi will thrive at that age since his playing style relies so much on his acceleration (in b4 the messi fanboys). Suarez and Neymar should be the main strikers and the main players of the team (which means no more Messi FK's since Suarez and Neymar are superior at that even now).

It will take a coach with a huge set of cojones to bring back the hunger of Messi and not make him feel like the top dog of this team.

I think if Barca go trophy less and the transfer ban stands, then Messi will most likely leave imo. I mean he's not stupid, he knows the team isn't going to get better with the ban short term. He would be wasting his time and his remaining yrs here.

He's not stupid.. exactly!!! He's professional player and he knows that teams have their ups and downs. He also knows that he's own form is not the same as couple of years ago and other teams might not like his walks on the pitch. Don't worry-he will stick around.

just give a whiff in the transfer market that Messi is available and you'll have at least 10 offers before you could say "Declined"

You really think Messi would want to stick around to see if yet another manager can get it right? Another transition year? It would also be the perfect opportunity for him to say he's gone as far he can with Barca etc, wants to seek new challenge, etc. Again just my opinion.

Danger Ahead
Let's get real. Pep, Klopp, Mourinho, Simeone aren't coming.
Exactly, let's sack Lucho now and see if some top managers will come here, won't happen.

Maybe if dortmund do shit there's a slight chance we can get klopp but he doesn't want to come here because he thinks he ll be forced to play the style he doesn't like. Maybe if we made clear to him he can bring his own brand of football he would be interested?

Would you really want Klopp if BVB were relegate to second division?

we are cules. we are always negative and panic easily.

Or realistic.

If we are the best, or one of two best teams in the world, then we aim for all trophies in each Season.

And honestly, every trophyless Season without major trophies like La Liga or Champions league is a bad Season, if you are the best team in the world.
So, this isn't some unrealistic panic.

According to what we have seen till now this Season, chances are extremely slim that we will win any major trophy (La Liga or Champions league).

Again, if we will look at Seasons strictly like black and white, or like a success or a failure.
Then this smells like a failure again.

In the event that Lucho does turn this around, the last few pages of this thread are going to look ridiculous.

In the event that Lucho turns this around I will gladly spot a RM avatar for 3 months.

I want Lucho to succeed but his pedigree and performances so far do not give me hope.

There does not seem to be a plan and its unbelievable that we are getting bossed in midfield. A trio of Verratti, Matuidi and Motta owned us.

Done. In the event that he doesn't, (AKA if he gets fired) I will do likewise.
