Guys, guys. Calma.
Look. I have no problem with criticism. But there needs to be some balance. Not everything is Scrubrique's fault. La Liga away games have always been tricky. Potatoe pitches, small teams treating Barca games like WC finals, parked airplanes ... You can't possibly tell me this is the first time you've seen a Barca away game in similar manner. I've seen it a thousand times now. Last season Barca dropped points in 8 of 19 away games and several victories away from home like against Sevilla, Espanyol, Villarreal (funny Dani Banani cross own goal), even Getafe (who were leading by 2 goals at some point) were far from convincing. So why freak out now? It's not as if Barca got outplayed.
Lineups? I have nothing to complain. Forward line picked itself with Neymar's injury. Defense doesn't matter because Barca didn't concede and only allowed 1 chance so who cares if Bartra and Mascherano played or not, most likely irrelevant for the result unless Mascherano would've scored his first goal in his Barca career or Bartra would have scored from a set piece. In midfield Iniesta was on the bench because he was mediocre and looked tired against PSG. If you're a believer that Rafinha would have completely changed the game that's fair enough. I don't so I have 0 complaints about the lineup.
Formation? Usual 4-3-3 that Barca is practising since Jesus got nailed. You might complain why he didn't emulate the PSG lineup. I'm fairly certain that lineup worked against PSG because of their 2 striker system. I don't see what it would have done without Neymar available anyway. Instead of Alba's runs you'd have Munir looking clumsy and waiting for ball to feet on the left side and a spare defender at the back. Unnecessary against a parked bus.
The pressing was good, some half chances were created, the precision in the final meters was not quite there. Simple, really. When I heard Neymar was injured I knew this was going to become an annoying game because Suarez is still finding his feet and looking for his first La Liga goal so it always came down to Messi providing magic or not but obviously he decided to hit the woodwork again instead.
